Happiness is based on “happenings“ contentment is a very different thing. I love what Captain said about attaching himself to a more positive and happy group if the possibility of mental burnout might occur. He really is very mature beyond his years. I love how he interacts and responds to his mother (very respectful) He has so much patience and does not react like how many young men might when mom is just being mom and I love it! I love listening and watching you two.

You are smart and brave to take a much-needed break to heal yourself. Please don’t pressure yourself with a rest limit. Think of the long-run or walk as the case may be. You are so lucky to have Will to step in for you! I know you appreciate him and your whole family. Healing hugs to you!

Can notice the difference in filming between you two. Curious to take note over the next few vids. Initial observations is Will has a slower more calmng style and sunshine has a more energetic boppity style. I think I miss the mix of you together. Which I didn't realize till this.

Time to ditch cotton. REI states - Choose light colors: Wearing light colors that reflect the sun's rays rather than absorb them (as dark colors can) helps keep you cool. Look for shirts, shorts and pants in white, tan or khaki. Wear loose, breathable clothing: Lightweight, loose-fitting clothing that breathes well will help your body regulate temperature. Nylon and polyester are good choices.

Speaking of scary, I just got back from a long walk, and part of it was along a city trail, by the river, called The Greenway Trail. They had just recently fertilized along it with manure, and, today, it was on fire! Of course, I called 911 for the fire department to come put it out. I’m glad that I didn’t have my little walking buddy with me, because I wouldn’t want her to breathe in any of that smoke…

Those inclines are tough....saps your stamina QUICK! Largo's been acclimated to it...will take you some time, Will. A good TIP that Earl Shaffer wrote about in his book, was to use a much shorter stride and more steps on the inclines. Earl said if it normally took him 2,000 steps to cover a certain distance on a relatively level trail...then he would use 4,000 steps walking the same distance on an incline.

Sunshine, you should probably get into this with a professional - A drop that is not suited to your natural stride will force you to adopt a different stride, and suddenly and abnormally increase the stresses on your muscles and tendons. In the beginning this might cause unusual aches and pains that could develop into tendonitis or periostitis injury. You can ascertain your natural stride by performing an analysis using specific sensors attached to your feet and slow-motion video. The measurements from these tools allow you to precisely measure how you strike the ground when running: with your heel or your forefoot. There are specialty running stores that have this equipment and can offer this kind of analysis.
