Your boy would love the real train ride that they run out of Parrish, FL. That’s just a bit south of you. Short ride but fun for all ages. I’ve been meaning to get back there, let me know if you want to come along, I’ll be happy to cover tickets for you, your spouse and RJ. My wife and one or more of my kids will come along. It’s a short trip to a little ghost town and then back. It’s a real train with old passenger cars. I think that it’s called the Florida Rail Road museum.
