Exploring Communists' Secret Prague Bunker
Ойын-сауық
In this video, Valery is going to explore a top-secret nuclear bunker of the Czechoslovak Communist era located under the Jalta hotel on Wenceslas Square. Originally built as a nuclear shelter for the VIP, this bunker was used by the secret police who made sure nobody, not even hotel staff, knew about its existence. Today, this bunker serves as a Cold War Museum and one of the coolest hidden places to visit in Prague.

Thank you for watching, everyone! We were only able to show you 30% of the bunker in this video, so if you want to see military and surveillance facilities, as well as other top-secret things (can't mention them here, obviously!), definitely check out the Cold War Museum! en.muzeum-studene-valky.cz/
That was fun and educational. I am so glad that Czech people have more freedom today. I did laugh when he told Val to watch her head, then I remembered that V is probably filming and should watch his head. I also don't think we are on the brink. In the 70 years that we have had nukes, we haven't used them yet. At least that helps me sleep. LOL
I found this bunker museum through Google maps when i was in Prague. You need to make a reservation on their website i didn'ton the same day. This is not a very popular destination but it's a super interesting place to visit. You can borrow a uniform and real non functional weapons for a picture. It's difficult to breathe, though. The guide was very knowledgeable.
Lovely building...even if it is Communist. Very interesting, and your guide was very good.He is a bit of a character...like your good self Valery 👍🙂
Great video, thanks for posting. When we traveled back in 2017, from Prague to Budapest, what really got to us was this concept. That first, the Countries were overrun by German troops, and lived under Nazi rule. Then, once the Nazi's were gotten rid of....here comes the Communists to suject the inhabitants to a new kind of terror. While in Budapest, we went to "The House of Terror". A multi-story, block long building, that contained many secret police offices. And yes, in the basement was where they would interrogate, and often kill people in their custody.
So many special effects in this one! Someone seems to have gotten an editing program update.
This was so fascinating! I love hearing about such cool things that are hidden under famous cities. Thank you for posting this.
Did you take Philip for some drinks, get him drunk and steal the key? Just in case. lol
Very cool. Uk.250’000 people WOW that’s massive ! Love your accent 🙂.
This one was fun and interesting! Thank you.

Hi Valery. Are you traveling to a different country later this year?
Being stuck in a bunker with Valery would almost make a nuclear war a plus!
Remember that pretty Irish Nun I asked out when I was 12? Well we got back in touch & she's helping me track the Irish side of my family down.
5:36 i like Lera's hmmm, hmm... i guess she wanted to say "this is standart type of shower in Russia" xD
That was yet another entertaining/informative video, with Valery being as charming as ever. However, that guy playing the guard was clearly German or Austrian! ;)

In the event of a nuclear war, I'll take refuge under the table. (win-win)
