Some of the comments here seem to pressure you to keep pumping out content Gido, so I just wanna say how much I appreciate the amazing job you do already in getting your videos out so regularly. You have your day job after all (still, I presume) and a wife and kids who need your time.... then there's the fishing trip to organise, the filming involved and the video editing.... so much work to get the job done so a big thank you from me, and others too, I'm sure. Yeah, I agree. Plus I live down where Gido fishes and the weather is a huge factor that limits the amount of content.

Thanks mate. I don’t feel pressure to put out more videos. I simply do them as I can. The videos is actually my main job these days but I try find a balance between family, fishing, editing(which can take a long time). And yes the weather can be and often is terrible

Great video as usual Gido. Was wondering when you were going to get to that spot. Sailed there back in the 90's. It's an awesome place. Heaps of seals. Some were pretty aggro when we went ashore. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Excellent video Gido Love the underwater shots. I visited that island a couple of times sailing along the South coast years ago. Amazing place. I have never heard of whales in the anchorage before. Looking forward to the next instalment.

But the waterproof housing wasn’t broken. It was the GoPro inside the housing that smashed. That’s got to be pressure I reckon. The plastic will bend inwards (concave) forcing the air pressure inside the housing to increase and break the glass screen which is not very bendy. As she comes up and the pressure reduces the housing returns to its original shape.

Yeh I think your right. Probably the pressure. I noticed some cracking sounds when the GoPro first went down and continued for a little while. Surprised the actual housing didn’t get a crack and would flex that much but its the only thing i can think of to make it happen

Gido when you edit your underwater footage and add a red filter in post it will remove the saturated blue look and be a lot clearer, colourful and true to clarity. Great video as always mate 👍🏼

Thanks I’ll give it a go. I did try and colour correct but didn’t have much success(certainly no expert at it). You can buy red filters that actually go on the camera which probably works best.

I expected to see more smaller fish on the deep drop, dont know if thats a good or a bad thing the swallow tail are cool, like deep sea herring :-) Note to self drop a big white blob bait with hook. Been watching for a while now, love every minute of the time you can spare us.

Very true. I will have a look and see if they have housing for it. I expect it would be expensive and risky thou. I was dropping an older gopro 7. I got stuck on the bottom for a little while but fortunately got it back 😅

National geographic camera equipment would cost more than i earn per year haha. But a insta 360 would be cool. Again quite expensive if it became stuck. I did get the camera stuck for a while but the footage would be awesome. Worth thinking about
