One of the special things about Saudi people is that they are very fair and open Hearted, ❤ I am a KZreadr I have been to many Villages in Saudi Arabia Butt I have not seen any difference in the manners and hospitality of the Saudi people.

So refreshing to see Saudi in this way. I heard that women were expected to cover themselves. Glad things are opening up a bit.

I’m certainly taking a vacation to Saudi Arabia. They are a historic culture like Bharat. Islam is a beautiful way of life in Saudi Arabia like Hinduism is in India.

Saudis hate Indians so we should avoid going there...only expats can go there

You should have visited balad in the night...that's when the beauty of the historic area really stands out..there are many many more lovely places to see. I also suggest u try a local female guide...they can really show u another side of jeddah.

If you go to the north of Saudi they have a very traditional rice preparation called "khabsa" they cook the meat and chicken in water seasoned with whole spices and vegetables. After sometime they pull out the meat and add rice in this seasoned water to cook. The meats are then grilled with some vegetables like onions eggplants zucchini carrots ect. They serve it very elegantly. They spread the rice on a huge platter and decorate the grilled meat and vegetables on top. Further garnish with a special spice mix and papprika. Since I'm vegetarian a very sweet Saudi lady made me a vegetarian version of it which was finger licking good. I'm sure the meat version would be delicious too.

I was astonished to see no one had asked to cover your hair, or else to wear an hijab. Every woman who travels to Saudi Arabia must wear an hijab and cover themselves from head to toe. But I could see that the country had changed a lot and given enough freedom for women.

Tamar hind literally means tamarind. I fact the word tamarind comes from Tamar hind. Tamar in Arabic is dates. Since ripe tamarind looks like dates they simply named it Tamar hind as is dates of India !!

A lot of India citizen coming as construction workers are poorly treated in Saudi Arabia...Many are given false promises and locked up in Saudi taking their passport and making them slaves for their infrastruture development...feel sorry for poor people who go there for work and the government of India not doing enough while rich Indian lives different lives there...
