This mod has nothing to do with the theme of the jam, but it has a super cool physics gameplay mechanic, and a beautiful setting.
All entries to the 3rd Outer Wilds mod jam take place in a shared solar system, were made within an 11 day time limit following the theme COMMUNITY, and each entry was limited to one planet/space station. See the rest of the entries here: outerwildsmods.com/jam/mar-2024/
This mod used my Outer Wilds modding framework called New Horizons, so that's neat.

Say what you will about it not fitting the theme, this was definitely one of the coolest entries this jam and I sincerely hope we see the threader again.
Despite not fitting the theme the mod itself was insane and incredibly impressive. A whole new tool implemented, custom assets and props and a super cool environment of a hollow ice planet. I would love to see this mod and concept expanded upon 100%.

Absolutely agree! Everything about the mod is great, its only flaw is that there isnt more of it!
2:22-8:58 is just Grappling Hook / Gravity Gun glory! (And perhaps instead of asking "why isn't this game about Community?", one should ask "why wasn't this jam about Contraptions?")

excellent point, truly the right attitude!
The reveal of the hollow core with the music starting is amazing! I was fully ready for a deep mystery within there that I totally forgot this is a mod jam project made in a very short time xd.

omg that is really cool, im guesing the "Community" part was the small bit about it being made by aliens, i do it often myself where i take a prompt and only make it a side thing because i wanted to mainly do my cool ideas xd

Yeah I think they definitely went cool ideas first, fitting the prompt last! We finally got a grappling hook so I can't complain!
