Explore Metallic Paints
Ойын-сауық
In this video, we played with swatching Daniel Smith metallic watercolors on grey- and beige-toned paper with a black bar to test how they lay over the top of the darkest darks. To achieve more opacity than we did in these swatches, use metallic paints straight out of the tube. We challenged ourselves to see how much we could do with just metallics and Lunar Black and sketched a beetle and camping scene as a fun exercise. We suggest playing with adding metallic accents over other watercolors.
We are excited to paint more iridescent creatures like butterflies, beetles, mussels, and mollusks soon! What other shimmery subjects can you think of? Drop your suggestions in the comments; we’d love to hear them!

Is the white a titanium? There are 6 in the demi, but you said 5 total iridescents... 😊

That is Lunar Black! :)
Is that paper vegan? I would hope you aren't dissing Daniel Smith by using it on a cruelty based product.
