Mechanic here, Tesla’s (and all electrical vehicles) is actually really heavy for their sizes because of the size of the lithium battery it holds. Normal engines (or ice engines meaning internal combustion engine) are actually lighter.

Electric cars are actually heavier than gas cars. those batteries are gigantic and heavy as all hell. I don't know how big the tesla batteries are, but I know that an audi e-tron is heavy as can be. If you crash with that thing in an old car it is lietrally going through you without a worry in the world. I'm guessing the tesla is also really heavy.

It’s called preshading. I don’t paint figurines but I paint model tanks, you paint the whole model black and optionally can put white on the raised areas.
