the elbow was not everything he also had 1.8f jabs and 1,2,1 was a NC Amazing bully potential 2. f,f+2 launches on normal hit for massive damage 3. Throw breaks where not added until tekken 2 and tombstone>d+3 is a true combo for over 50% 4. Crouch jabs hit low in tekken 1 so d+1>2 is a Low to mid NC for amazing keepout It is also so fast that if you block the low the mid is free(Cant stand up in time) even with all this dumb shit kaz is still the better character in that game because of true mid WGF that is like -6 on block and hits on frame 11 making it the best launcher in tekken history

So King wears that mask to protect his face from all the stanky jank he shoves in his face. Neat.

Basically T7 King got buffed all over the place, I mean his abs tho, you could leave plates to dry on him.

How could you forget d/f+2,1 , TMM? probably his best move.

I fucking like Jin in ttt2 his f4 feels so chunky df1,4 and bound he just feels better

But for real I love this character, nice to see him shine at last.

Not sure you said so but WS+2 is homing and ch confirmable. You can also ch confirm f+2,d+1 into the 2. Ch db+4, cc, d+2+3 is guaranteed, for one damage less and way easier you can do FC~d/f+1, or cc RD. Or as other people mention, dash to gt

King has been good since DR, it's just that in Tekken 7 he is particularly amazing.

King has been good since his release

King went from a mediocre character to a great character that is actually fun to play. He was _embarrassingly_ weak in Tag 2 thanks to his horrible bound moves in a game where combos reigned supreme.

He had one of the best juggle enders in the game in RJB which did unscaled damage complete with some scrary ass oki. I agree the lack of low hitting bound moves hurt but his juggle game was pretty standard.

King has the best oki in the game right now.

while runinng 3 is 0 on block not plus, is good setup for giant swing, ff n1+2 or d3 since you are really close to the opponent and they are afraid of touching

Awesome video, but slight correction 15:39 King's WR3 is 0 on block unless you block it late (like if you get up from the ground into it)

Yep, it was 2 before - it was never frame perfect. Frame perfect is the figure four reversal.

MainMan, if you get a db4 CH at point blank range, you do get a free 50/50 ground throw. It just requires a quick dash in.

In T7 both King and AK's F+2,1 is -9. F+2 on its own is -11 though.

Tldr: they gave him all the good AK moves, but they nerfed the same moves on AK

That's not a shining wizard , that's an powerbomb

Ive always wanted to play king ever since I started playing tekken 7 but I always found his movelist to be somewhat daunting to me to even try to learn.. but picked him up a few weeks ago and he's an incredibly fun character to play

@@wrisst1712 King has a lot of tech and after doing 1 king video almost every 2 weeks for over year, I've still got a few more videos left to do

Whilst I would say the system does suit the character well there's a couple of things thats wrong: wr+3 is 0 on block only +1 at tip range, db4 on ch gives a dash ground grab attempt. Lastly the f2, d1, 2 string actually is inherited from Marduk.

As a King main I love what they did for him in T7

MainMan looks pretty comfy in his Dr. Evil chair

T2 King because of d+3+4 counter hit grab extension. I think it was the Octopus stretch.

DB 4 counter hit does give you a ground throw opportunity. You just have to micro dash for it to connect and possibly crouch cancel.

Do a comparison between T7 Armor King and TTT2 Armor King

While standing 4 pickup after db3 worked fine in previous games. In t7 it doesn't combo into easy mode screw but it did it t6 and ttt2

I did notice some of his new moves were Armor King's and Marduk's due to them not being in the original Tekken 7 roster, when I decided to play Tekken 6 again using King and pretty much sucked since I only started using King at T7

Couldn’t you do while person bound f+d 4 3 to giant swing in tt2 that might be easier

The shining wizard off of orbital is definitely not situational. I can't express how many times I've gotten air throws on accident while people try to keep out with that kind of move. I've practically won entire rounds just off of that alone

Props to giving props to LilMajin, can't mention king without mentioning the King of King himself!

i had a bit of a stroke, but great comment.

CH db4 gives you a free ground throw attempt. ff+1 is also +14kg on hit

You forgot to mention that even though okizeme got hella nerfed in T7 he is the only character (I think) that got his okizeme substantially buffed compared to TTT2 thanks to his RD and f2,1 I still miss df4,3 after air shinning wizard but it takes a bit more skill now which is a good design imo : higher skill ceiling vs lower damage

And King never needed a mid hitting screw attack launcher on normal hit.

Oki refers to moves you can use to get extra damage when they’re on the ground. Stuff like df4 is guaranteed on bears and on any character if they try any getup option. d3, uf3, alley kick, db3 are good oki moves after some of his throws

King did not just became a top tier...he was always a monster. From T2-3 the hours on practice mode mashing random commands to find out he chain grabs they didn’t give you because he’s a complete monster....then with T4 I got a command book to see just how much moves he really got.....HOLY SHIT!

Ex: Bryan is hard -high execution such as taunt jet upper. Paul is easy: -very little execution for a lot of reward

Practice 1 2 jabs into ff1 the timing is picky once you can get ff1 reliably then practice the combo.

After df4, 3 do 1, 2 as fast as you can and input ff1 after 1, 2 jabs recover. It’s easier to land ff1 if you do 1 dash jab 1. It’s 2 less points of damage but easier to land ff1 if you can dash jab.

Either input ff1 immediately after 1 2 recovers or buff the f in the recovery of 1 2 and then input f+1 when it's finished recovering.
