Hey TRC. This is a great topic. I wish you would include some more pointers for different product categories. You have spoken about paste waxes. But what about products with SiO2 ingredients? I find the SiO2 part does loose it's potency after a while of cracking open the product. I reckon glass cleaner can be passed down to generations, but coatings fail quickly, when exposed to oxygen and air moisture.
Good to know my several gallons of "Summery Drink" Bead Maker will likely still be good next year. I wish Anthony was able to make it a permanent TRC Exclusive product so I could just buy it in moderation. Going to be a sad day when I finish up my last gallon.
My concern is, how long has the product been sitting on the store shelf before I even buy it. It would disappoint me to know that what I just paid $20 for is already 3 years old when I get it home!
Very nice and entertaining video! I'd have loved it a bit more if Anthony had talked about storage. I'm paranoid about not leaving my chemicals out in the cold during the winter months here in the UK worried that they may freeze up or just go off. I'm sure a lot of people do/think the same. And then there's extreme heat in other parts of the world. How therefore can temperature affect the longevity of detailing products? Perhaps a matter for another video. Thanks.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I usually keep some detailer in my car at all times and where I'm at I have extreme cold and hot seasons. Just curious also if temps make certain products go bad faster or ruin it all together due to extreme temps.

I found a meguiar ultimate polish in a storage room and don’t know how long it’s been there, but it’s still there.
I have a couple of unused condoms from 1997, are they still good?
