How to Detail Faded Paint by Hand (Paint Correction)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Learn how to detail a car with faded, scratched, paint. I will show you how to do paint correction by hand, how to remove swirl marks, how to restore faded trim, how to restore headlights, and finally how to fix sun damaged paint. I got this car for $500 and it wasn't running and was super dirty. Now the car runs and looks dripping wet!

Hopefully you guys like the video! It's basically 4-5 videos in one with tons of info on how to get your car clean! So we can avoid the same comments over and over, check the description for all the links! Also, yes, ChrisFish is me, and not an impostor. It is my second channel I will start this year for when I go fishing, which I love to do. It is my way of still "working" and not feeling bad about going out fishing instead of filming, editing, or answering comments. Now I can do both! Here is the detailing products I used: Ceramic Coating: avl.kg/ceramiccoating Compound: amzn.to/2UboLg7 Polish: amzn.to/3adde5g Wax/Sealant: amzn.to/2U9nMwF Buffing Microfiber Pad: amzn.to/33K0NvC

I have zero car fixing experience, zero dollars, and a 2015 Civic that's looking a little neglected... not a great combination. I was thiiiis close to booking a $400 dollar detailing extravaganza that was supposed to fix all the things addressed because, really, that's still cheaper than a new car. However, you swooped in just in time. Seriously, THANK YOU. This video is the first I've seen that made a color correction and headlight defogging accessible without purchasing hundreds of dollars in products and tools. I'ma fix this sucker myself. :)

Assuming he makes just 1 dollar per 1000 views on average (in reality it's even more for views coming from western countries), he made as a bare minimum 6 thousand dollars on this video alone, but most likely at least 2 to 4 times as much, so upwards of 10 or even 20 thousand dollars...on just this video alone...and he'll constantly keep getting more views on this video for years and years to come, not including sponsors he gets from time to time, which adds even more. So while it is free to watch, he got more money on this single video, than people in my country get for 4 entire years on an average job, now look at how many views on his other videos he has and do the math. If he asked for money, for example to sell a book with this information, he would make far, far less, so this is a win-win for us as viewers and him as author.

I just love your channel. I have a 2019 Ford F-150 that got damaged because it was under a portable garage with concrete blocks tied to the legs to hold it down in Tucson and the wind literally lifted the cover and dragged 2 of the concrete blocks over the truck. Horrible scratches and rub marks from the legs over the passenger side. I've been slowly working out the scratches with 3000 grit sandpaper and am about to move onto 5000 before doing the final compound and polish steps. From this video, I learned about the ceramic coating, which I am definitely going to buy and use to rejuvenate all the plastic pieces (the Tucson sun is brutal and faded the plastic quite a bit in just 3 years). I'm now in Oregon where the sun isn't nearly as brutal.

A great classic - emphasisng that you do not need to be wealthy to make your car look as good as it possibly can, on a tight budget. Most other videos you will see tend to want you to buy all manner of expensive tools. This video refreshingly reminds you that elbow grease, and correct technique triumphs.
