The point they’re trying to make is that depp had negative publicity, so this negative publicity caused by Heard is just the straw that broke the camel’s back, rather than being the reason depp got fire from his roles. It’s a decimation case so it’s a very valid argument. It’s a bad argument in my opinion, but still makes complete sense to why they’re bringing these up.

EXACTLY I think Disney shot themselves in the foot bigtime... They killed their biggest most profitable Franchise the second they removed Depp from the pirates movie. Now these Disney Scumbags get to wear the rotten Egg on their face publicly because Depp made it clear that he wont *Ever* work with Disney again after this and we all know any pirates movie they try to make without Depp will be a massive flop and a waste of money trying a Reboot without Captain Jack Sparrow as the lead. I also *LOVE* that Dior refused to Drop Johnny...They stood firmly by him in his darkest hour and did not cave to public pressure to remove him from their Ad campaign...that is also worth mentioning Dior is one of the few companies I know of that actually still have some Humanity left in it. My wife has worked for Dior for 15 years and when Covid hit and sales dropped around the world, Dior *increased* the medical benefits package for all their employees around the world and they created new ways for their staff to reach out to clientes and paid their employees extra money for client outreach during that dark time... Bravo Dior! Bravo!

So having said that, your point here is what pisses me off the most about Heards nonsense and I can't believe more people haven't said it. She has single handedly set back real victims, making them less believable and especially if it's a high profile case. There is plenty of real, serious abuse going on in Hollywood and with powerful people and those victims deserve to be believed should they ever choose to come out with it. I know if God forbid anything ever happened to me, I would be devastated to not have the support of being taken seriously. I would want people to believe me. Amber Heard and anyone like her is a danger to society and needs to be in jail. She's vindictive with zero empathy and no remorse. You never know what someone like that is capable of, it's scary.

Doesn't mean the dirt isn't true posted on other sites. Those three magazines the guy mentioned aren't the only people that know the dirty secrets of hollywood. Perez Hilton would be considered one of those rags at one time and yet most of the stuff he wrote was true. My source... I lived in Los Angeles for 25 years and I worked in the industry. It's funny how Amber's lawyer just proved Johnny's case. He basically says some random article were already trying to defame Johnny before but Johnny's career wasn't affected at all. But that's the point! These articles are common in this business and, as the the witness said, Hollywood has its own standards to determine which issues are to be taken seriously. This just proves that Amber's claim is what impacted Johnny's career negatively.

That's why so many witnesses have nothing but good things to say about Depp. His "reputation" is no more than what people think he is like that's why most of those article titles include words like "allegedly" "reportedly" it's cause they don't know JD as was mentioned by the witness Depp kept his personal life shrouded and private. It almost seems like they aren't fighting for amber- as if they're almost going out of their way to not make any solid points against Johnny. They just have an endless circle of surface level questions, as you said, with no real direction. They know it'll be too hard to fight to turn this in their favor. At worst they're wasting everyone's time and becoming publicly known as extremely incompetent legal counsel. Iirc they're also from the same firm as J's lawyers.

Her lawyer sounds emotional from around 26:15 and his voice sounds strained like he wants to have a bit of a cry. Clearly not happy that’s he’s not getting the better of this witness.

I can only stand to watch for a few minutes at a time, the questioning is so obnoxious. I hope the jury can perceive how deliberately misleading it is. The witness is holding his own and clearly knows what he is talking about no matter what the cross-examiner is trying to imply.

Same. I can’t listen to her lawyers. They’re obnoxious, embarrassing, & off putting.

To answer these questions from AH lawyers, the best maybe is to say, “ not exactly “ , they will need you either to clarify or move on to a different question.

"Did I read that right?" Johnny finds it really amusing that her lawyer wants teacher credit for his reading skills. "Yes you did!" He isn't stating that the content was truth, just that his reading skills are ok lol 🤣

The argument is JDs reputation was soiled by his own actions prior to AH's allegations.

At timestamp 26:19, you can hear the attorney's voice breaking like a scared child. Love it.
