So beautiful, probably the most beautiful car ever made

I loved the video! This 300SL Roadster is special and I know it well. There are however several mistakes in the discription provided. It is chassis # 3142 and was produced in the summer of 1962, not in 1963. I owned #3139 for 10 years and have owned #3254 for 17 years. I was indeed painted originally in DB462 metallic beige, a color 1st intoduced by MB in '62, however was not the only 300SL Roadster to be delivered in this color. # 3257, produced a few weeks later was also produced in DB 462 and was delivered new in Italy. I have photos of it in my files. There were only 26 300SL roadsters produced in 1963. these were chassis #'s 3233-3258. #'s 3253-3258 were produced in 2/63 and #'s 3233-3252 were produced in 1/63. A new model, the 230SL was on the horizon, and '62 sales of the 300SL were slow. 67 300SL's built in '62 did not leave factory until '63, and one, #3207 did not leave until '64. Many of the 300SL's built in '62 did not find new homes until '63 and this was one of those. It participated in the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and made a stunning presentation. It later sold at auction for more than $1.6M. I believe it to be one of the nicest 300SL Roadster/Coupes in the world! Frank

My mistake, #3157 was the other '62 300SL painted DB462 metalic beige. #3257 was built in '63 and was painted DB50 white.

The most beautifully car but without the red inside.looks strange with the goldmetalic.But a Juwel anyway.👑

+Lucas Marquardt not sure why i am just not seeing this response 1 year later but to be honest I'm not sure it was for sale to begin with. We were playing with an idea of putting together a catalog for people looking to sell their exotics and classic cars in a video format :D I would be happy to reach out to the owner to see though if your buyer is still interested ..... 1 year later. haha sorry about that Lucas!
