    The diff will transform it mate. Even when not pushing hard the difference on the twisty stuff is night and day. I'm only at 280 and it made a massive difference. So pleased you've got it where you wanted to.

    That compressor surging under WOT is not right at all. Engine can't consume all the air the turbo is giving it so its trying come back out the compressor housing.

    It's to do with the map / throttle body opening and closing. Either way that noise is why I bought the turbo and it's staying lol

    @@CarRambles its to do with too much air and the engine cant consume it quick enough. This noise will not occur under correct conditions and mapping. Its probably one of the reasons they discontinued the RT330. The noise isnt something you want in all honesty but each to their own. I know the noise doesn't occur on the Nexus tuned ones as far as I am aware, ironic really as its the same guy who wrote both the Revo and Nexus files.

    The throttle body opening and closing from what Revo has said. It's why I bought the turbo because that noise is fantastic in the car aha

    Nice Video mate but I have a question. You have a Turbosmart diverter valve, which one is it? And I like that fluttering but I also read in a lot of forums that this would damage the turbo as there is air flowing back to the turbo to make it flutter which it is not supposed to do, is that true?

    High PSI is fun and all but its only that high because the housing is soo tiny. I think (If I ever upgrade) I'll prefer to go bigger turbo so that traction is not a problem and I'll have a higher rev range. Too much torque down low on an FWD car just means you won't put the power down ultimately.

  • @CarRambles

    Bigger cast housing than all the hybrids / stock turbo on the market..... This spools fully at about 3.5k so higher than the stock at 2kish.. also in this video obviously flooring it on a wet road with traction control off, pretty sure I could spin any car doing that. :/ Get a Garrett if you want a big turbo

    Are you running a stock engine? Reason I ask is running that amount of boost on a stock engine will very quickly crack the cylinder walls. It's why people choose forged engines with a linered block so it's very tough and not gonna crack at high pressures. Also, since we're on about forged engines, running a slightly lower compression will help prevent the cylinder head from cracking as it can also crack under very high pressure - it's the next weak point since the block is linered.

  • @CarRambles

    @CarRambles

    I have faith this engine can take that boost pressure. I would agree anymore and it could be curtains but from the extremely rare (I don't think I've ever seen one) posts on rt330 cars going pop due to over boost, I have faith :) Forging is on my mind... Or I sell the car

    It'll improve flow and such but the power difference won't be huge, but if your trying to get every ounce of power from a map it's probably worth it. Same as when your stage 2. Everyone bolts all these different pipes onto the car to get probably 2bhp more with about £300 worth of gear, upgrade the actuators on the stock turbo and all sorts. But the turbo simply can't flow more... It's out of puff.. at least a bigger turbo has the potential to flow more air :)
