A special thank you to Ridge for sponsoring this video. It was great to finally get to meet my work team members face to face after working together for so long and grateful to get to share a meal together. But it was back to work after that and after pulling an all nighter, I had to prioritize getting some rest or trying a nice meal. I chose the latter and I'm sticking to it.
A while back, I got the visit the Tandoori Flame back in Vancouver, BC; it touted as North America's largest Indian Buffet and it certainly met up to expectations. As luck would have it, the Tandoori Flame Buffet started in the Greater Toronto Area, and I couldn't resist paying visit.
Little did I know it was during Ramadan and while it restaurant did not appear full during the start of service, things certainly changed after sunset! Shoulder to shoulder at the buffet, it was packed with hungry patrons after a long fast. Quite festive yet competitive for the great chaats, curries, dosas and more! This is always my favourite destination for Indian cuisine from all parts of India and at a buffet, one can sample and try the different varieties till their heart’s content. Appies ranges from the aloo tikka and pani puri, to pakoras of all kinds - fish, paneer, and more. Shift a little further and you’ll find a station that’s serving dosas made to order. Turn around, and you’ll find Hanil hard at work on the Tandoor with the meats and naan. If you have a sweet tooth? Then watch as Alvin fries up Jalebi hot and fresh then drench in the sweetest syrup. Certainly a feast for the senses all around!

Good you went to Mississauga, I held the Brampton one in high regard forever and it was always better than Mississauga. But since the pandemic cleared up a bit, the Brampton one started to go downhill. Stuff like taking the salad bar away, always melted ice cream. The food is still great but for the money, Mississauga is MUCH better and well run. They put in that bit more of effort that makes the price worth it.

@@TimLeeLetsGo I agree thoroughly enjoyed the food with you lol TIP: The best way to enjoy biryani is never mix anything with it esp. because it is in itself made with soooooooo many spices. Eating it by itself allows one to identify and get the aroma of each spice separately. Some ppl. have it with dhall which I refrain from too - cheers and keep going Lee
I was yelling “noooo!!” when you picked up the sugar ball type dessert after the first super sweet dessert you ate haha! Definitely did the same thing when I first tried it 😂 love the videos Tim!

Buffet is not really the best place to try any cuisine for the first time (unless ur trying an actual Thali at an authentic Indian restaurant, preferably in India). The priority at most buffets generally is quantity over quality
"a mess is a good sign of a great meal" 😆 With spicy sauces/beans etc I like to use sour cream on the side. I understand the Indian cuisine uses yogurt for that purpose. The great looked GREAT. Thanks for sharing.

Unfortunately I live in Florida, a long distance from this restaurant 😢. Indian is my favorite cuisine. Normally don’t like buffets because I always overeat and feel bad afterwards. However this buffet is amazing. I have a hard time deciding which dishes to order at Indian restaurants. There are several dishes that I always must order, this buffet looks like the way to go because you can taste a little bit of everything.
Ahh I had high hopes for this place I went to the Mississauga location and even saw the server who served me in your video, but sadly it didn’t wow me as much as it did you, just thought the food was very spicy and for someone who doesn’t like spice as much I thought I kept burning up each dish (My fault knowing Indian food is usually spicy) The only good things imo were the naan and the deserts!

@@toolbaggers I never see people wash their hands before they eat baos, pizza or fried chicken!!!! Since the Covid 19 pandemic, many people do use hand sanitizer before eating. I guess you do pick up the baos with your hands and eat them. I have actually seen people use a knife and fork to eat pizza before!!!!! Pizza isn’t such a problem since you hold that big piece of dough with your hand, but you would not eat that big piece of dough since there is nothing on it. Fried chicken should be eaten with a fork. I going to get in trouble with Tim since he likes to eat fried chicken with his hands!!!!! When you eat a whole Indian meal with your hands it is just gross even if you do wash your hands. I want to use Hong Kong as an example. HONG KONG IS ANOTHER WORLD ALTOGETHER DUE TO IT FAST PACE AND GLAMOUR WHICH IS AWESOME. INDIA 🇮🇳 IS ALSO ANOTHER WORLD ALTOGETHER DUE TO IT DIFFERENT CULTURE ESPECIALLY THE BEAUTIFUL TEMPLES THAT ARE LIKE A KING’S PALACE. However, the India’s custom of eating a full meal with the hands is truly awful in my opinion.
