More storage is better, perhaps as a compromise you can cut down on the depth of the storage cabinets to accent more for the ceiling. Make sure some of the epoxy panels are clear for LED's that can do RGB and White.

Why not raise the seating / bed and the floor in that area, storage under the floor (18"?) You dont need the ceiling height When you're sitting/ sleeping. Also put a high level cabinet *across* the rear doors instead of the sides? You just need enough room to sit up in bed.

Airplane upper cabinets, with some angle?

Uppers with more storage, never have enough plus a pull out food & spice rack would be key. Plus if you could include a hidden storage for jewelry and electronics. A secret under upper cabinet drop down.

So pumped for this!

Minimize overhead lighting in bed area or have a nighttime mode with reading lights and indirect amber/red lights. Dim

Instead of a sandy van logo on the table you need creat a sandy goast logo.

Can't have too much storage but can you have too much lighting?

Sounds great so far. I would go with the full length top cabinets, but at a slight angle it would give them a less obtrusive, 'softer' appearance. It would also give a bit more wiggle room while in bed. When it comes to the lighting, I really loved the idea of angled front drawers with indirect lighting underneath each one of them.

We thought about that but in doing so it takes away a lot of storage space

If you’re traveling with a partner, extra storage would probs be good. But I can also see the uppers being annoying. 😏 Whatever you choose will look awesome tho, esp with the ceiling plans 🙌

Like the shape of aircraft overhead bins, getting that inward slope and curved corner will be fun. As a compromise, you could only have upper storage along the length of the driver’s side, especially if sleeping east west. 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🖤🤍🤎

Moving west! Don’t know details yet but it’s going to happen this year. And actually the goal is to full time vanlife for the summer

I wouldn't do coloured epoxy, to me it would be uglier than a warm white LED throughout.
