Most of the people & countries will always have their hatred to China, but me. I'm one of a few people that love and admire China as a country. A lot of lesson that we can learn from them. I don't know what it's all about with all those hatred towards them. British with their sins. Spanish with their sins (almost entire Indigenous people of South America were killed). French with their sins (read what they did to Haiti). Japan with all their sins (those killing & rape thing in Nanjing & all of Asia). US of A (do I have to write what they've done here?). in 1950 Pla has only wooden planks boats and fishing boats navy , now within 12years, china has 3 aircraft carrier and 3 type075 helicopters carriers and many type 0055 destroyesr and type052d etc. amazing.

10 years ago, PLA Navy had like 8 destroyers. Now there are 51. In 2022 alone, 43 warships of various classes (destroyers, frigates, corvettes) were launched. In a war of attrition, US intervention over Taiwan is likely to be fatal for the US alliance since both sides will lose a lot of ships but China still has enough iron ore reserves to continue building at the same pace for 7 years whereas the US and Japan take 4-6 years to build and commission one ship.

Very clean looking ship and professional crew. Something to be proud of! I really like the part at 1:00 when he talks about "the interconnection between air, sea, under water and shore-based power". This tells me, once again, what I've always known: China sees its military primarily as a force for *defending* themselves. You wouldn't talk about shore-based power if you were planning illegal overseas military expeditions, like a certain other country has been doing for decades. A strong, yet defensive China is the most stabilizing force we can have in the world. It will keep those nations that seek conflict in and around China to think twice. Nobody should desire war or seek it out, but being prepared for foreign aggression makes a lot of sense. I am strongly anti-war, so fully support China's right to build up a strong defense, particularly when constantly being harassed and threatened by nations that are actively trying to undermine their territorial integrity. The quote "Peace through strength" has lost all meaning when the americans used it, because they never seek peace. In China's case, I can actually believe in it.

You should search and study history on SCS, not NYT or CNN propaganda. But Google has since removed many search result that impartially support China, including from ex-US ambassador. Chinese owned all SCS islands since 250BC. They were well recorded in ancient maps with Chinese names up till 1954 Atlas and maps of Canada, US and Japan.…were still stating. After WWII, it was USN that helped China to recover all these SCS islands, signing Washington Treaty with Japan to hand back all SCS islands. After the Five victors of WWII who defeated Germany-Japan axis (including China) founded UNSC in 1941(?), China's re-exerted its ancient claim of 11 SCS dotted lines (later changed to 9) and was not disputed by a single countries. When US beaten Spain to occupy its colony Philippines, US also had pledged to China that it had no dispute nor any desire on China's ownership of the sea West of Philippine. Only after Obama announced pivoting to AP that US started to lie and smear China's rightful claim of SCS in propaganda warfare. The arbitration by kangaroo Hague Court was actually not part of UN or ICJ, they were setup by Japan's Abe aides by renting a shop in Hague building. Obama ordered Japan PM Abe to stage the arbitration, paid by Philippines Prez Aquino $40Mil, with judges appointed by Japan. Many marine law experts including from US and Singapore had openly criticize the false and invalid judgement.

This is currently the most formidable warship in the world! This warship is even more powerful than an aircraft carrier as it YJ-21 missiles is a hypersonic anti-ship missile with 1500km range! It can knock out an aircraft carrier even before the carrier can launch its strike aircrafts. There is currently no defence system against hypersonic missiles. Aircraft carriers was decisive in sea battles for WW2 as it can reach a much greater strike distance than the big guns on warships. But now anti-ship missiles can strike much faster and further than strike aircrafts from carriers. Sea battle had changed due to anti-ship missiles.

Actually, Zumwalt lacks a volume search radar, has 32 less VLS cells than the Type-055; and has less lethal anti-ship cruise missiles.

Type 55 will be potentially upgraded with railgun in the future, and it has already armed with YJ-21, a 1,500km range hypersonic, maneuverable, anti ship ballistic missile. The missile is reported to have a flight speed of Mach 6, and a terminal speed of Mach 10. In other words, it is a carrier group killer. Aircraft carrier jets do not have 3000km+ range which is what they would need to stay out of range, ie 1500 to get there and another 1500 to fly back. Theoretically, one of these ships could take out the whole carrier group with 112 VLS that can also be quad packed. Chinas cells are much bigger than us or NATO standards.

@@krishnadwivedi3880 Aegix isn't some celestial system that mortals have no chance of fighting against. And the Chinese have been very busy building up AWACS of their own. Also, I always have to roll my eyes every time someone mentions America's "combat experience" in comparison to China's. First, the last time the US went head to head with a peer-level navy was in WWII. Both the Imperial Navy and the Kriegsmarine didn't stand a chance against the industrial might of the US (including that of the British Royal Navy). Germany and Japan could never hope to match every single US ship with their own. In other words, the US Navy went to war against two enemies that were outnumbered by it. Not since WWII has the US engaged in a naval war, where both Japan and Germany were capable enemies, but could never hope to replace their losses as easily as the US. If by "combat experience" you mean fighting a 5-year war that was more than half a century ago, then yes, the US has more combat experience than China. But I don't think China is too worried at the moment. the Chinese don't have that problem. Their navy already surpassed in numbers the US Navy (and continues to grow), they're producing J-20s at a continued pace, and they have the largest land-based missile arsenal in the world.

This Chinese captain is too humble. Type055 is the world current No1 most advanced and powerful Navy warship. The long wavelength phase arrays radars are the most advanced ones able to track and strike all 5Gen stealth fighters. Those hypersonic missiles aka carrier killer it carries are so advanced and lethal that even US carrier strike group will be destroyed in war. USN warships has lagged behind China by a generation due to hubris and scams by MIC (eg scrapped stealth warships) after Soviet disintegrated. US still fail in hypersonic missiles testing. Similarly for the F22 & F35 scams, even the hawk McClain cry foul as Biggest scam of century. They fell behind J20 in most specifications except front RCS radar size and powerful jet engine (not when more powerfulvChina's WS15 is deployed). US missiles, radar, warships, space, warplanes, drones … are all lagging behind China. Soon its nuclear submarines will also fall behind when China's new nuclear subs with shaftless propulsion system get mass produce. Once Fujian EMALS equipped carrier starts to operate, we shall see how China has surpassed even USS Fords, except the nuclear power that China will soon deploy for its coming new carriers.

Not on par with the USN but it's getting there. At some point in the future yall will catch up and overtake the USN and other US service branches. I'm sure there will also be reforms and refinements made after the invasion of Taiwan unless things go perfectly smooth there. I'm sure the PLA is learning or has already learned from other conflicts, US conflicts and the Ukraine war. You are in a very good position economically, militarily and geopolitically. Very good is an understatement.

Well, the overall PLAN still need to catach up to USN, especially carriers and nuclear subs. This particular type of destroyer 055 is better than any U.S destroyer and crusier currently in service, in fact USN's next gen destroyer program DDG X concept is very simlair to 055. U.S made a big mistake on the failed Zumwalt class, so they are still relying on the Bruke class as their main destroyer fleet, the older batches especially those built before 2000 are outdated.

And their strength alone doesnt rely mainly on equipments, but planning and working with allies in the region in which China greatly lacks. A war with US is catastrophic to China.

@@mackybacka5966 The only variant of bruke class that has AESA radar is the Flight III, the first ship should enter service later this year. The rest of the bruke fleet is still using the old SPY-1 PESA radar, all Chinese destroyer since 052C has AESA radar, 055 even has dual band AESA radars.(U.S was planning to use dual band AESA radar on Zumwalt class, but the plan scrapped due to budget issue)

It's there, if China needs to use it to protect her territories, and who knows what are its other capabilities except those shown in this clip? This class of destroyer is only the "tip of an iceberg" and there are many other types at hand, and not to mention there are many smaller craft protectors navigating around it. The biggest issue facing the American military is a generation of young people that don't want to serve in the military due to low pay, housing, wokeness, UN patriotic and the awful brutal foreign policy towards the rest of the world. As a veteran I discourage young people to serve and possibly die for the bankers special interest and the military industrial complex.
