Chanyeol and Baekhyun's presence is a great source of joy for Exo especially during the tough times. Musically Chanyeol and Lay are really gifted members. Chanyeol simply loves every member immensely especially D.O. and Sehun. He had basically raised Sehun since trainee days. He would make sure to walk him to home. The guide honestly only should a really mild side of his competitiveness. He is EXTREMELY competitive which is more visible during variety shows. He's also really good in sports and arts.

And yes, Chanyeol is very much into himself. But i think he needs it because like he said, he easily gets swept up in the mood, so he can get easily affected by negativity which is why he should love himself a little more for extra confidence. In Exo showtime, there's even a scene where Lay was depressed and cheerful Chanyeol was keeping him company but also ended up getting depressed. He's just someone who loves life and does his best for himself and others. That's why he's our happy virus

Chanyeol is such a precious member.. You sound like an army dressed as exol, sorry - SM has never treated EXO like how you're implying They were made to eat Kimbap for over 2 after debut too since trainee days, 95% of their album sales profit are taken by SM, 60% of the profit from all events and concerts. SM never ever bothered to protect EXO from anti-fans , throwing hate or rumours, SM asked them to not appear in televised programs, SM put them on hiatus right after debut for a year, SM made them starve and have the most hectic schedule even with injuries and health issues. Even when EXO has been one of their most successful artists, SM produces their music videos in the smallest budget possible in kpop these days , the same indoors sets -maybe 2 at max, only 1 set mostly with table chair or a empty dungeon/ a box made of cardboard it's pathetic

Knew you would love this one! Cesar Oh's guides are so great (if being a bit older), they took so much time to create and are such a great resource. The first guide made was Sehun's because Cesar is Sehun-biased and was annoyed at how often people couldn't recognise his voice :D I love how this guide just totally highlights the depth of Chanyeol's talent and passion for what he does

I remember a video from a girl who used to work as a staff member for many K-pop groups and when naming the kindest she met, she said that EXO was always incredibly kind and specifically told an experience she had with Chanyeol, playing games with her! I feel like he’s one of those idols that just seems so genuinely loved and cared for by everyone!❤

CHANYEOL loves to make the others laugh, he has an unique sense of humour very specific for the EXO members ( see the EXO SC videos), but he also let himself swept away by the others 's mood. He may appear like a happy virus, but he is one of the most sensitive members, he cries often, he once mentioned that he has moments after a busy schedule, when he spaces out and cries alone , afar from the others. He has a special bond with D.O ,they know each other since they were trainees and his affection is sometimes hilarious, expressing his love and admiration , teasing and prank poor D.O , who strikes back everytime 😅

Chanyeol is practically a musical prodigy, like Lay. The members ohave mentioned he has great pitch, and he can hear a piece of music and play it after one listen. He has participated in writing a lot of Exo songs, but surprisingly his first solo album has yet to happen. He said he’s working on it for next year!!! But he does have several singles and very successful OSTs. He is very close to Baekhyun, D.O. And Chen. Somebody reposted an interview from 10 years ago where he calls them his soulmates #1,2, and 3, respectively. And what do you know, they all appear in his Good Enough MV 10 years later. This is just one example of how you know the Exo brotherhood is real. Regarding them being lonely idols - it may not be so bad in Exo’s case. The members seem to have a great personal support system outside of the actual group. The members are spotted through the years hanging with the same friends they’ve had from pre-fame pre-debut, and friends they’ve made in the industry, etc. Also fyi Chanyeol released Good Enough at a time when Exo members were going through a lot of drama with SM Entertainment with contract disputes, rumors, etc. You must understand the whole fandom was shocked, crying, shaking when the members popped out in the MV because Exo members have never appeared in each other’s solo work before. It’s actually a very sad, but very relatable and also comforting song. Chanyeol said his main goal for that song was to give comfort to the listeners. There is a Recording Behind the Scenes and a MV Behind the scenes for it. You must also appreciate that we have never ever gotten recording behind the scenes content before. Cream Soda era was the first time we’ve seen them in the recording booth! SM loves to gatekeep these boys in the basement… but that long ass drama is for another time. 😂 PS you have no idea how many songs you need to go through 😂 exo is one of the most prolific artists of this generation (and im not talking just kpop). You may think based on spotify or youtube views they are not as big as other groups of today, but they have an insane fandom all over the world that use other streaming platforms. Everything they release always goes #1 on iTunes worldwide and in various Korean and Japanese and Chinese platforms (china does not have spotify or youtube). For example, Exist (Cream Soda) album went #1 worldwide iTunes albums and #1 in over 60 countries and also #1 in QQ music china, which has more users than ALL spotify users worldwide combined. Exo estimated net worth is $1Billion, way more than popular groups of today because they have so many revenue sources and have been working their asses off nonstop since 2012 and their music is never just trendy for the comeback season. They actually hold the record of most number of streams on MeLon, the largest streaming platform in korea. Despite being on hiatus (their last full album was 2019 obsession), and havent been on internstional tours since then, and never really promote in the US or Europe, nobody was able to catch up to their record. And their fanbase consistently grows despite no new music or promotions. They smashed the pre-order records for Exist album on ktown4u previously held by Seventeen and Jisoo, despite the album visuals not being available yet. And right now their 10-year old b-side xmas song The First Snow is #1 in tiktok Korea for 4 weeks straight, and #2 on MelOn daily charts - this is the highest charting boy group song on this chart for 2023! A 10 year old b-side with no MV! PPS DAZED listed the Top 50 kpop songs of 2023 and at #1 is Exo’s LET ME IN 👑 and that’s on being fucking ICONIC. They have 7 full studio albums, several winter albums, special/mini albums, live concert albums, sub units, solos all together well over 460 songs 😂 but i suggest going through the full studio albums one by one, interspersed with solo member’s mini albums, because honestly…Every damn album is so good and but the real gold is in the b-sides with no MVs ❤ good luck and enjoy 😂

He’s composed so many EXO-SC songs and some of my fave Exo songs Heaven etc. And remember after military discharge he was in the US for a song writing camp. He said he had at least 50 songs in his vault 😀 I’m sure we’ll see even more of composer Chanyeol once his solo album comes out.

the hip + leg movement he did at 18:26 is actually a part of choreography of baekhyun's solo song. he just did the choreo exaggeratedly to joke around hdgdhd but ceaser ohh didn't write notes and i always saw reactor (new/non fans) kinda confused and uncomfortable with it 😂 also the jpj party. you're going to see him in every ceaser oh exo member's guide, please be strong 😅😂 maybe the reason is, exo barely went to variety show. sm don't send them to variety show bcs they're supposed to be "mysterious" 🙄😂 maybe the jyp party one got lot's of info about the members, so they used it a lot hahaha

For the Christmas special, you could react to all the title tracks of the winter albums and also there's this video of Exo playing secret Santa, it's hilarious. I'm sure you'll love it but Baekhyunie isn't in it because he was in the military at the time. And "first snow" a ten year old Exo song is currently charting, it becomes a huge thing every year around this time. There's even a dance challenge that some of the members have participated in. It's the Mariah Carey Christmas song of South Korea 🎄⛄

Everybody is doing the dance challenge for EXO's First Snow lately. It's probably the most well-known. Besides that one, you can't go wrong with any of the title tracks from their 4 Winter albums (Miracles in December, Sing For You, For Life, Universe). And there is a live performance video containing Christmas Day, First Snow, and Miracles in December together. I've seen people already mention to you their really funny gift exchange video as well. There's also something I loved watching but I think you guys won't react to it due to its length (about an hour). But I'll still mention in case you want to watch it for your own enjoyment or find a way to fit in in the future. It's The Return of Superman EXO Special. Basically, EXO members babysitting really young kiddos. It's freakin' adorable content. Return of Superman is a Korean reality show in which celebrity dads take care of their kids without mom's help but they also invite guests over to take care of the kids sometimes. Relevant for Christmas because Kai and Chanyeol took care of a little girl Naeun and her baby brother Gunhoo. They did a Christmas photo shoot together with the kids and sold the autographed pics for charity. In another part, Chen and Xiumin took care of a brother and sister together. Fans got that to happen because the little boy was known to look exactly like a mini Chen. And in another part, Chanyeol and Baekhyun take care of twin toddler boys (Seoeon and Seojun) together but when Chanyeol took one twin out to buy groceries, the toddler got recognized more than he did lol poor Chanyeol.

I don’t think the clip about Chanyeol “self love” shows him in a bad light at all. It’s because you don’t have to take it too seriously. I've watched this guide so many times and have listened to the 'Hands' & 'Promise' clips too but everytime these two clips play, esp Hands, I get goosebumps! About Channie's self-confidence, it doesn't come off as arrogance or having an overbearing personality. He knows he's good (due to a combination of natural talent & hardwork), and says it as it is. Not boasting or tooting his own horn. He's honest about his feelings & has got hurt in the past because people tend to take advantage of that. He & Chen went through hell some years ago (I remember reading about it after becoming a fan) and some people continue to be obnoxious about these two members. No, it’s okay about JYP lol. I can appreciate his career and role in the industry, but he definitely just gives me those vibes too. Sometimes it feels like he tries a little too hard to stay relevant, occasionally at the expense of his artists. I don’t necessarily think he needs to fade away into obscurity, or that there’s anything wrong per se with being an older artist and “embracing the meme” as it were, but every time he does something it just always seems to come off like, “But why…?”

My friend has been telling me about you guys for a while so I finally sat down and watched all of your EXO (and Red Velvet) content and it was so much fun. I don't think any reactors have made me laugh as much as you. I've been an EXO fan since their debut so seeing others fall for them is kind of how I relive those moments, and the genuine love and appreciation you have for them is so endearing and fun to watch. Also glad you're getting to the guides (though honestly I can't even tell you what EXO content I want to see you react to first, I can't wait for all of it), they're a little outdated now but definitely a good way to get to know a bit more about the members. One fun thing about Chanyeol that's missing from this: shortly before he enlisted, he got another dog named Zzar (from Mozart). ahh exo's winter albums... they're all so amazing but majority of the songs on them have sadly never been performed😭 (aside from title tracks) so I think I will recommend any "Unfair" performance because they're just the CUTEST doing it (like the ones on inkigayo or music bank or just the concert version is fine) and thank you for loving exo! Aside from Chanyeol's I think Baekhyun's guide really misses a lot of his personality traits. Probably Chen's too. A little clarification: When people say SM doesnt manage exo well, it doesnt mean they dont get anything. but things like brand deals are offered directly to the members by the brands, it isnt SM going out and securing these things for them. SM mistreat exo by putting little to no effort into them from the company's part and not going out of their way to secure things for them that they are at the caliber to have (examples: they never have concerts outside of asia even though they are massively popular, Chen had a japanese debut this year and SM didn't promote it at all, not even one social media post, etc.). And most importantly, they have them under unfair contracts with horrible pay ratios, which is why cbx filed a lawsuit against them earlier this year and many of the members are considering doing their solo activities outside of SM. They literally manipulated baekhyun into resigning his contract by holding the other members' statuses over his head and guilt tripping him (this was info made public through the lawsuit, not fan speculation).

Okay, so Love this as I did the Sehun one. Chanyeol is so talented in everything he does, his passion for music is unmatched. He's a mood maker like Baekhyun and together they make the world a bit brighter. Fire and Light. His voice....so gritty and deep....love it. He is an exceptional rapper and I hope he does more solo songs in the future, I'm still totally waiting on a solo album. You should totally do Baekhyun next.....cuz then you would have done Chanbaek all together and their "son" Sehun....the three of them...omg....adorable. About reacting to member guides,though they're informative,almost all of these are kinda didn't do complete justice to them,these videos only emphasized on one particular trait more,here in chanyeol's video- him flexing thyself got shown more than necessary..as a fan of long time i know,it's not even in like chanyeol's top 20 characteristics😂 if i think about chanyeol-the things come to my mind are - Most passionate person ever, most emotional(cry baby of exo along with kai) person, person who loves to give presents and surprises to his beloved ones a lot, very considerate of others, he still has the most innocence like a child among exo members..he's like a kid, a kind kid, very outspoken like can speak out his mind,him talking about his own handsomeness or talent is not because of narcissism but he's like "i am just saying facts" Anyway,back to about guide videos- be aware that these videos are not holistic😂 like for baekhyun the guide emphasised on how playful guy he is as if he all the time 24/7 does funny tactics when in reality he's such a serious person..so yeah,this is how it is Now, about Christmas suggestions.. I am skeptical if anyone else will/would recommend this and thus worrying whether you'd even react to my suggestion or not as it might not be most recommended but it would be the best video to watch for Christmas In exo planet#2 the exolusion they performed "the first snow+miracles in december+Christmas day" such a perfect live for Christmas along with it you can watch "xoxo+peterpan" both are so so so lovely...please watch the japan version one,though they might not be in one video compiled but separately uploaded but still japan versions have better quality...trust me it would be the best option

As an Eri, I really like this content. Thanks for the content. But I'm not happy with the comments about JYP-PD nim. I've been following KPOP since 1.5-2nd generations, and I don't understand all the hatred he receives. He's a good man, which is why many of his artists and ex-artists who are in good relationships are even more comfortable making jokes about him without fear of getting scolded or anything. Sometimes people find it difficult to distinguish JYP as the company that runs the business and JYP as Park Jin Young himself. Things like the elimination of Felix and Lee Know are for marketing purposes; they're to attract sympathy, which benefits them as a rookie group. "But he doesn't have to make them heartbroken like that!" It was a show, with JYP there as a figure representing the company. It doesn't mean everything in the show is his decision. Especially now that JYP is no longer the CEO. Someone has a higher position than him and a team that's already set up how the show is going to be framed. If you want to blame something like that, don't just blame Park Jin Young; blame the whole company. I'm just tired of seeing all the new K-poppers who hate JYP just because of some comments or clips without context. By the way, please don't get me wrong; I'm not making any bad comments. I'm just explaining. Thank you so much for the EXO content. Let's react more. Oh yeah, because now it's winter, can you guys react to EXO's Christmas songs? guides like this bother me cause chanyeol being painted as arrogant and "into himself" is the exactly why they were able to spread rumors about him, that people blindly believed and laughed at even though they were untrue, and it sent him into a pit of depression. please dont take this guide as a testament to his personality. hes kind and selfless and loving.

Don't worry, we love Chanyeol and knowing more about his experiences growing up and how he acted as a teenager only adds to the complexity and humanity of him. We're all many, many things. He's no different. We love him regardless/because of that

No you still don't know about how much mistreatment from SM to exo, most of exoLs are hating on SM because dirty job SM has been doing to exo. But I love your reaction by the way ❤

SM is THE most worst company. The way they diminish the potential of some maknaes like Sehun, Seohyun, Yoona and others is unbelievable. Lets not forget their abuse against foreign artists. Chanyeol basically had to put up a fight to have Sehun have his solo song.

JYP makes everyone cringe. I also don't trust his judgement on artists. Xiumin auditioned for JYP before SM and got rejected. JYP also rejected IU which is pretty much the worst move anyone could make. He threw away a gold mine.

Your comments on JYP..you don't like how they treated Felix. Don't look at GOT7 then cause they were treated like trash! SM has a huge Halloween party that is the one to be there.

I know this may be a little nit-pickie but this guide doesn't do a good job of showcasing chanyeols selflessness and warmth. There are clips in here that on their own do make him seem a bit self centered and "into himself" but that's only because they were mostly taken out of context. chanyeol is one of the most pure and soft hearted members who continously puts others before himself. he's silly and goofy and doesn't take himself too seriously. please keep in mind that these guides are a bit biased towards certain members and do a poor job for other's, this (and suho) being an example. I hope your opinions of him arent swayed because the vibe you've gotten from him up until this reaction is more true to who he is than how hes painted out to be here. the more ive gotten to know exo the less i recommend these guides.
