Ro Laren at the Con/ Pilots Station just right of Data at his Station. She’s 100% going to end up being a “Hidden Gem” after release. Many in hindsight will be sorry they missed out. With all that said, I’m extremely extremely excited/ looking forward to getting her! 🙂🖖

Definitely the getting the red command color just right pops in a couple of those photos and for sure Ro is a strange pick, I’m waiting on Commander Remmick, “We seek peaceful coexistence!” 🤣 Great video as always!

Hey Ben, glad to see you did the review of Ro. I saw it come up last week and was looking forward to your review. I agree the timing seems off but I could imagine that they are producing what they can. And to your point, she may not be everyone's cup of tea. So by getting her out of the way, they can pivot their manufacturing to the figures that they anticipate a high demand. So they can get out one while opening capacity for additional production. I did get her as she was a fridge member for the time period she was involved...so maybe she is bridge adjacent.

Hah bridge adjacent is perfect!! Sorry for the delay! Crazy work week! I do worry collectors are feeling fatigued waiting for their favorites though. And while she was still great! I can't say she's one I've been on the edge of my seat for. And alot of collectors are pulling out of exo 6 due to various reasons. When they originally stated they'd be at this for 5 years and then be done, that was over 2 years ago already. So I feel they are running out of time for some of my favorites! I'd love to be wrong though ofcourse because I love trek! Thanks for staying tuned for the video and commenting again good sir! 🖖

You nailed it, Ben, highlights/shading in the hair would immediately improve the likeness and realism. As a general rule, I want to support "alien" characters as well as female characters, so this was a buy for me. But since I have only skipped Picard and Search for Spock so far, I'm clearly not making any hard choices.

Completly agree with you about how frustrating it is to get side characters instead of the main crew. The only thing i can think of is either they think people will stop buying them if the main crew release first. Or Nanjin simply isn’t happy with those sculpts. 🤷‍♂️

I think we're experiencing the full-force effect of the Exo-6 business/economic strategy in terms of the trickle of key characters vs. supporting characters. It's not a mistake the way key, high-demand characters are being spread out. The pattern of a big name release e.g. a TNG crew member and then a series of secondary characters before another big name character gets promoted is clearly meant to normalize the cashflow. Obviously the risk is collector/fan patience running out due to the years-long schedule. I admit this is easier for me personally since I'm buying every one but I can see interest getting stretched thin after a while for people into just one series. Not sure I have an alternative proposal since whatever Exo-6 is doing has worked so far. To have delivered on as many figures as they have already is breaking with the long tradition of failed Star Trek license holders who couldn't get past one or two main characters and then throwing in the towel.

I think my concern is more around the developer saying he has only a 5 year plan (mission) but we'd already be at the half way mark and there's a lot of other main casts I'd like to see. But I also liked your point about how you collect! Tough to nail it for everyone! Thanks for watching and for your comments

@@TheBenThomasShow I am pretty sure NT mentioned on FB not too long ago that he got an extension on the Star Trek license by a couple years. So that original 5 year mission is now 7. This would seem to align with the current pace which wouldn't seem to fit in the original timeframe if we're supposed to get through the entire TOS, MP, SNW, STP, AND DS9 crews.

I have no idea why certain characters are released in the order they are & yes I want TOS & TNG as much as anyone, but whatever the strategy its working far better than Qmxs. From what I can recall, the reason Voyager was first was due to the uniforms being easier to manufacture with a new (training up) workforce. This then would improve the skill set for the more complex uniforms

Makes sense! If anything I wish we would just get more official updates and a road map of what's to come! Get us excited for something. Don't make us wait without controlling the message

On the fence with Ro. Maybe EXO-6 is putting Ro out now after Data and Geordi to sprinkle in a side character which is fine. My issue is I'm worried that one day we'll hear they're done with Star Trek just like QMX and we won't have a complete TOS and or TNG crew. I had the QMX Sulu and Scotty preordered, but they got cancelled so I missed out on those figures. And where the heck is the original series love? I’m not talking about the movies but the show. They teased the captains way back in the beginning that showed the green shirt Kirk so what happened?

Yeah if you compare some of the early on figures the face is a 10 times better than the current ones. Look at the Kirk and Spock oh my God their faces are perfection. And now look at the current ones oh my God not even close

Yes I think they have various teams working on these. Some characters get the d team and others more the A/B team lol
