She was younger. Good decisions by young men are often as rare as hen's teeth. Cheating is often never about the other person (ie the partner being cheating on). It’s to do with insecurities and ego in the person cheating. A man with high sexual value, having women throw themselves at you - you’d be hard pressed to find a man who won’t at least entertain it. A man with self esteem or ego issues is going to take the bait. He wanted to have his cake and eat it too. Have his faithful loving beautiful girlfriend at home, and play around on the side. Ego. Thought he could have it all and didn’t consider the pain he was inflicting. Till his maturity and conscience perhaps caught up. I think he did the right thing by telling her. She deserves to know his character and the choice to leave or stay. And I respect her decision to leave. Sad, because they do seem like great people who’ve grown.

Such a BLESSING for a former couple to see each other after x amount of time and actually navigate the positive, thus stepping over the negative and embracing a tomorrow that will reflect on what was good yesterday.

Tbh I've talked about this with my partner and to me cheating doesn't mean sleeping with someone else. Cheating starts with hiding, lying, lustfully looking at others etc. If the thought is there the actions will be taken sooner or later. Woman have this unrealistic idea that men are men from womb. It takes time for a boy to become a man.
