I've had both knees replaced, not at the same time. Left knee was replaced in 2020 no problems ever. Right knee was done in April. I have great range of movement and the knee its self doesn't hurt, but I stopped doing the exercises as soon as PT was over. I still have great ROM but when I sit to long, 5 min, when I get up my knees is so stiff. I started doing the exercises I could remember and it helped. But wasn't enough. So I came to my second favorite 2 Physical Therapist's. Sorry the PT's that have to deal with me in person have to be first. You've helped me remember the workout's and how to do them. Thanks so much.

I brought up your KZread channel to dress what I should do at this point. I had a total knee replacement mid July. My pt released me early according to them because I had really good range of motion in less time than they had ever seen. When the pt at mayo released me, I was still having a lot o inflammation ( I'm not surprised, I always have inflammation longer after surgery & I have scleroderma with renads & osteoarthritis.) I'm still having a lot of pain if I sit with my knee bent. I'm trying to force doing steps correct, using both feet, & it's very slowly less painful. I'm thinking I'm not ready for many of the pt exercises in this video. ***Could you please do a video of what exercise's normally are done at what week in recovery. *** I do have to walk, mow & come winter shovel & snow blow. When I mow, I can't keep up to mower at slowest speed, I have to release the forward movement and basically drag my surgery leg forward.

Thanks for this great video! I’m just a little over 8 weeks post right knee TKR, and so this such a help to me! I wanted to ask you 2 questions: 1) how many times in the day should one do these exercises 2) How many months after surgery must one continue to do all these knee exercises? Is there a point when I can go back to my normal routine... or are these exercises forever? Nobody gives me a clear reply to this!

You called your pretend surgery leg left side and kept it back for tandem stance. Then you turned and put it in the front for tandem stance. So does TKR leg go in front, back or both during that stance?

I'm on my 2months and was in so so much pain. Went to see the doctor and had x-ray and were clear, Dr sent me to more pt since I only had pt once a week. She told to push through the pain and continue with exercises. I have been going to the gym only practicing all most of what I do with pt! Dr suggested I don't over do, and also try to not think about the pain too much! Pt told me that I wasn't where they wanted me to be yet but stated that I shouldn't worry because each person's recovery is different. The pain is real but I'm learning to push through and do the best. I met a lady at church, she saw me crying and she showed me her knee and told me that it will heal very well. She had had hers 4years ago and was jumping all over telling me that she can't wait to get the other knee done! I felt very relieved! Hang in there, just do your best. Sometimes we forget that its Knee replacement surgery!! Hang in there. Wish you all speedy recovery! God bless!🥰

I had a right knee replacement on 30th April on Friday. On Saturday the physios expected me to walk and i couldnt weight bare at all. When i stood up something cracked in my knee area, my legs were huge with swelling. My surgeon came to see me and apologised profusely, he had put the knee parts for the left knee into my right knee, but had also somehow had damaged my femur. I was moved to another hospital in the UK, only for a surgeon to tell me, i had to have bed rest for the cut to heal before he operated again. Which hopefully is on 25th May 2021. Ge said tge femur us unrepairable. So how on earth am i going to walk?

@@kayp2617 A law suit for doctor's mistakes. How on earth did he put the left knee tools into your right knee? That would even fit to begin with. Now you cracked the femur and irreplaceable!! that is a major law suit. Any attorney will take your case and win the settlement. I am so sorry. I have LTKR 8 weeks ago. it is getting better as the day progresses. But it is utterly different with the night falls. Awful
