@@Ralphunreal That's not true. Defensive fighters clinch to hurt the other fighters momentum. Jab and clinch. The other fighter never gets their rhythm or combos going. Everyone is saying Devin won all rounds with the jab, well Kambosos should have adjusted and did something about it.

He didnt have a choice really once Loma said he wasn't fighting n made Haney an offer he expected haney to refuse, it was that bad...also its a 50,000 capacity stadium that had 40,000 in and they were quiet anyway...very quiet...if it waa an English football stadium with an English champion fighting they would have been 100x noisier n chanted their fighters name constantly...Aussie fans are a joke really

I've been saying this for decades. If you have a proper jab, you will have more opportunities to open and close doors in the ring. Getting jabbed in the face constantly does something to a boxer's mental stability. It frustrates, it makes one gets sloppy, and it makes the opponent fall for the slightest faints. Bro, I got tears in my eyes watching this shit. Devin is a tru professional, tru champion at young age. I know deep down he lost respect for Kambosos but as a professional he knows that a champion choosing to fight you is an opportunity being granted, so he speaks appreciatively and respectfully. The way Kambosos disrespected him, most, much older fighters would have taken the opportunity to return the disrespect after proving it in the ring who's better. But above all of that, I'm happy to see Bill there to share that moment. As a father, I know he's on Cloud 9. Then Dev giving his mother her credit, "YOU birthed a champion" is her "belt/title". That young man knows it's a TEAM effort. Yea, he's the only person actually in the ring but it's waaaaayyy more to it than that. Classy young champion. Great Father/family structure. Professional boxers are in the sports entertainment business. The trash talking in build up to the fight wasn't disrespectful, it was business. That is, it was Kambosos and Haney's way of selling the fight so that they can put more bums on seats and therefore make money of the boxing marks who buy into the advertised emotion.

@@goeast12 Admittedly Kambosos is not the best trash talker. I much prefer the wittier trash talk - the stuff that's funny. But the purpose remains the same. Kambosos talked to trash to sell the fight - to draw interest from the casual audience. And from it, Haney became more of star. Everyone loves to get behind the guy who shuts up the trash talkers.

Also, note that George said, "I hit you with a few punches, I THOUGHT I hurt you a couple of times". He didn't declare he hurt him, just that he thought he did. And Devin responded properly if he wasn't hurt, he wanted to make crystal clear that he didn't.

Dude, most fighters are gonna feel like they did better than what outside observers could see right after the fight. Even Canelo said he thought he did good vs Bivol after their fight. Would you say Canelo is weak minded or delusional? When you're wrapped up in your gameplan, and successes (as small as they were) it doesn't register in the moment how bad you're losing until you get to watch the film.

Kambossas had no definitive plan going into this fight! During the fight George felt fear of Haneys jab and lacked the boxing IQ to get inside. Mike Tyson beat so many opponents with long jabs so it's obvious Kambossas isn't who he was " perceived " to be.
