    @@FutureAZA Oh yes! and as it got to the end, I realized I had caught the last little bit in Muskegon, beginning around the time Sandy circled back to "leadership". I'd missed the battery handoff that will go down in history (though I'd have heard about it and your part in ferrying it to Jordan later). That is one precious package to deliver back to San Diego, be good to it! :) Maybe you could get it a robe and slippers and cuddle with it each night to help it not feel lonely until Jordan and his friends at UCSD vivisect it.... Just don't, please, lick it.

    Hey, I was in the audience. 👍 Thanks for posting Brian. 👌 I don't agree with Sandy regarding VTOLs. You can't have a VTOL free for all. You need some precise rules of the road, which don't exist, and you have to keep them from flying into non-VTOLs. 🙂

    @@FutureAZA Fewer reasons to have errors. No cows in the road. No construction zones. Able to navigate in up/down in addition to right/left. Think stacked highways, dozens of levels. Less energy efficient but we're on a path to energy abundance. I don't see VTOLs replacing cars, but I do see them playing a role for those who want to move from place to place faster and are willing to pay something more for time saved.

    To Sandy's comments about government intervention, I believe the only real existential threat to Tesla is anti-trust action. However, by open sourcing their patents, helping Ford, and opening up their charging network, they have helped reduce the risk of this. It wouldn't be the best situation, but possibly Tesla will need to spin of either (or both) Optimus and energy storage.

  • @bobwallace9753

    @bobwallace9753

    7 күн бұрын

    I don't see a basis for anti-trust action. Tesla is doing nothing to keep others out of any project that Tesla is working on. Others are, for the most part, doing the same. Just not as well.

    @@bobwallace9753 If Tesla dominates the US auto industry, stationary storage, bots, AGI, etc., it may not matter how nice Tesla plays in the sandbox. The government could either, somewhat reasonably, conclude Tesla is too powerful or such a monopoly that it needs to break up Tesla to mitigate risk, or virtue signaling politicians break it up to score points. We just saw what happened in Delaware, so don't tell me that an activist can't break up Tesla, regardless of how fair they play. Plus, Tesla, likely due to Elon having opinions, draws the ire of politicians and media, which puts a target on them.
