Find it disappointing for both teams that this match was held at such a sub-standard ground. Not just cos England are the Euro winners but Austria have been semi finalists and quarter finalists in the last two themselves and are a team of stature. These sports women deserve better.

@@tsd6916 I believe the stadium for the remaining qualification matches was decided and tickets went on sale pre-Euros. :) Stoke City Stadium is sold out for tonight, but hopefully we’ll see better stadium choices in future for both International and leagues like the WSL

The state is supposed to protect and serve, so it’s a statement to let the state know we’re watching. Educated people know that Bonfire Night is pretty much about the same thing, and we have huge celebrations every year - don’t hear anyone crying their whatabouteries on 5th of November. Not sure how anyone can be more pressed about standing against racism, than they are about racism itself. And not everyone who’s been a victim of police brutality is a criminal, but even the ones who might be, are still entitled to a fair trial - #RuleOfLaw. Otherwise we live in a police state/dictatorship.

I'm still gutted Nikita Parris didn't make the AC squad. She adds a different spice to the team. She didn't come on the boil for the Euros, she was still simmering. Her youth was a factor. She could have come on the boil for the WC in the way Beth Mead did at Euros. She deserves the chance having been a significant factor in WC qualification. I love all the Lionesses and don't want to see anyone go. But it will happen. But I took NP's absence hard. In the brain and the heart.
