Could listen to carmine tell his stories all day!
Absolutely one of the first great heavy drummers. Moon, Baker and Bonham get mentioned a lot. Carmine is right there in that mix. The first four albums mentioned were not surprises, nice to see Blue Murder included. Fortunate to see and hear Carmine live with Cactus, BBA and Sir Rod. Excellent rock drumming that had some swing when called for. imoho
One of the best drummers!💯
Get his book! It's the most craziest book I've ever read. Carmine sure knew how to have a great time. He even tells the entire story behind the infamous Led Zeppelin fish incident. Please ask him about the new material he did with James LaBrie from Dream Theater. And say hi for me (Tom from the Arcada Theater).

I read his book. It’s a definite must!🎶
People get mad when he talks about him influencing John Bonham. The truth is the triplet lick in good times bad times John told Carmine that lick he was inspired by something he heard Carmine play. He also got John his first ludwig deal. I've seen Carmine play many times and he plays a lot like John or the other way around either way, who cares!! 😅😅😅😂😂😂

It’s not a triplet, it’s only two beats. Carmine talks a lot of shit. Bohnam was 100 times the drummer.

I hope I'm still active in life at carmines age ...love and piece brothers
Iron Butterfly & Vanilla Fudge, are 2 band's who are more than worthy of a reappraisal! The former in particular were brilliant exponents of the 'elongated' rock piece! And there was more than a 'passing nod' from some of the giants who were to follow in the next decade!! This was an excellent interview with someone whose musical choices are 'exemplary'!! Huge respect!!😊😊

I have In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida on vinyl (1st pressing) still in the original plastic! Overall quality is excellent. It's only been played three times.
Saw Camine twice with Jeff Beck (BBA), Great drummer! Love these interviews/videos, really takes me back.
The interviewer does a great job getting the rock stars to talk. Really enjoy your interviews 😊

I saw Cactus from the front row in The Fillmore East . A friend had to work so I sold the front row seat in front of the place . Great Show !
Got to see Carmine live with Rod Stewart. Great concert.

Great interview. He's a beautiful drummer and a genuine cool guy.
Blondes Have More Fun was a good one. Great playing on that one.
Being from Long Island, followed you guys late 60S, always loved your music❤️
"Footloose and fancy free" is definitely Rod Stewart's best album belonging to the "american period": solid craftmanship, excellent playing, absolutely top-notch 🙌✨

You're in my heart it's my favorite Rod Stewart song ever.... I was thinking the same.... Great album!
My favourite are Jon Lord/Tony Ashton live album and obviously the Tommy Bolin record he guested on.
Jeff Beck played on a Stanley Clarke record in 1978 "Modern Man" - one track had Beck & Carmine on it - an instrumental called .. "Rock 'n Roll Jelly" - all 3 of them are brilliant on it - but even great instrumentals so rarely got radio play - they always wanted vocals on the track ..
And he can sing backup,,,,wow!
Carmine is Carmine’s biggest fan. Mad respect for his playing though.
A good friend of mine got to meet Carmine when he was playing with Ozzy, and he was a total class act. I got to meet him when he was playing with Blue Murder.
Parchman Farm was written by the late great Mose Allison.
Hey Carmine, spearhead a new mastering of the BBA debut from the multi-track (i.e. not the mixed down 2-track master). That album is a monster and it needs to sound like a monster. I dig your drumming and want more of it as well as bring up the cymbals and, overall, air.
When I saw You in Memphis Tn at the North Hall with The Legendary CACTUS , I said , I wanna play like Him. Been a fan of Yours ever since !!
All great selections. One of my favorite drummers!
Another great interview with one of my favorite drummers!
Carmine is a cool guy..just met him at a dixie dregs concert in florida...his video with rod..got him some nice exposure with mtv days
Tommy Bolin !! Private Eyes is a Killer LP !!
Love your channel
É! Ele atingiu o "Appice" da carreira.
You need to interview Gilson Lavis....
That is awesome that he searched out Blue Murder.
Cactus One way or Another
saw Carmine early 70's twice
Wasn't Carmine Brooklyn Guy? Where's he live now? Is he close w Vinny?
I have BABA'S version of superstition in my car right now! For me it makes Stevies version sound like kiddie stuff, an i truly admire Stevie. I grew up in mowtown during its heyday an even used to go there as a vendor at rhe original converted house on Grand Blvd.
Did he tour with Pat Travers? It was either he or Vinnie that i saw...awesome

You thinking of Tommy Aldridge- who was with Travers for the hey day yrs. Nicko McBrain was right b/4 Tommy with Travers…… Vinnie was put on the map with Rick Derringer b/4 Sabbath & Dio periods. Don’t recall Carmine or Vinnie playing with Travers other than maybe a tribute lp track for Shrapnel, Magna Carta or Deadline/Cleopatra Records etc
Marcie Free!
Y'all don't even know... When 'Blondes Have More Fun' came out it was so....ugh. Thin. Overproduced. 'Sexy' was ubiquitous and obnoxious pretty quick. The thing is after the softer vibes of Night On The Town and Foot Loose you could just FEEL this guitars wanting to punch out! The ensuing tour made that album sound so much better - it could have been one of Rods most talked about albums but in a good way! Ill always be fond of it - lets get Stephen Wilson to remaster that bad boy! Love ya Carmine!🤘🤘
I'd have to disagree with Carmine about which CACTUS album to pick - their third, "Restrictions" (1971) - with its killer version of 'Evil' and other strong songs (Guiltless Glider) is their best, most focused and best-recorded album. By the way, Mose Allison ("Parcham Farm") was white. 😁

Kim Milford- didnt he play in Laser Blast? Actor, Singer?
I would have asked him to tell his side of the controversy about "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" where he is listed as a co-writer and its now been revealed that song has elements of other songs in it by Jorge Ben and Bobby Womack.

@@tod3msn "Sexy" has far more than "similarity" from those other songs. It's direct theft. That's what the lawsuit was about.
I was seven in 77 . Fn love Footloose...
Can you ask Carmine if he knew and heard Gary Driscol, Ronnie Dio's incredible drummer. And if so, was Gary an influence on him.
Seen Cactus in 1969 at Strawberry Fields Festival in Ontario , Canada . They blew everybody's ass right out the door ! Approximately 80,000 people attended .
Iron eagles Carmine best.. Drum.. Beat
the BLUE CHEER version of parchmant farm was way heavier than Anything cactus ever did.
I cant be the only one who stopped and searched out the coke commercial.
🤍💛🧡💗💚💙💜🤎🖤✌
great stories, but a lot of bands played Japan after the Beatles. led zeppelin , and of course deep purple
Bonzo did more with one foot than anyone did with two.
As tiresome as he can be - blowhard - there are several facts: 1) he was a hell of a drummer 2) people kept hiring him; he managed to continue to work for decades and ran his own show 3) he didn't kill himself with drugs/alcohol. A lot to like there.
That fourth Cactus album with Peter French and Duane Hitchings was awful.. Restrictions was their best recording. I saw them twice at The Fillmore East playing with Humble Pie… two loud bands LOUD! With Edgar Winter’s White Trash as the opener… Great shows.
It seems whatever band he got involved with turned to crap and disbanded ..He’s got a lot of good stories though 😅
Carmen showed the mob how to put a horse head in your bed.😮
He was ok not to correct him on his last name pronunciation.
I saw king kobra open for Autograph at an ice skating rink.
This guy ! For someone who’s calling out all these folks doing drugs , he fails to mention his copious drug use!
The Pigeons IS a horrible name
He accidentally skipped over King Kobra....
Blue Murder didn't sell because it was awful. Nothing to do with the managers etc.
Carmine......a legend in his own mind.

Sorry, Blue Murder is not and should not, be considered one of the five greatest rock power trios ever. How about MOUNTAIN!! Wayyyyy better than Blue whatever.....
