In this 2nd part of our visit to Joe and Clara Pilates' summer home in Becket, Massachusetts, you'll see exclusive footage of the apparatus that was left, practically untouched since the 1960s, in the studio Joe built there. Sean Gallagher shows us original items like the V Beds Joe and Clara slept on, an early version of the Arm Chair, a Reformer built for home use, a Cadillac, an Electric Chair that was originally a Wunda Chair, Magic Circles, and more. Don't miss our previous videos: Exclusive Footage: Joseph Pilates Home in Becket, MA and Joe Pilates at Jacob's Pillow. We are grateful to Sean Gallagher for sharing this treasure, you can find him at Performing Arts Physical Therapy.

to be honest I am a tad shocked about the way all these apparatus are handled on the video. It is fantastic to be able to have a look at this collection of objects, these documents of the origins of what Pilates has become today. But, as a curator I felt a mild stomach ache not seeing gloves on, and so many other measures I believe could have been taken to ensure that these almost unique items are properly preserved. Thanks for the footage anyway.

Agree and I’m also surprised someone who is a big voice in the Pilates Community doesn’t have a more toned physique. I believe he’s an instructor? Maybe he has health issue so if he does I apologize. Anyone with a beer belly that comes to me for Pilates , Pilates always trims their waistline tremendously.

Agreed. Did this guy just store Pilates' equipment in his barn somewhere to display it all in an overgrown backyard? This is ridiculous.

Where are these things being stored? This is a disgrace and why isn't Alecea freaking out about the condition of Joe's apparatus? The apparatus is covered in spiders for god's sake. Is anyone else disturbed? This isn't right.
