You will see a large collection U.S. Marine Corps recruiting posters, dating from World War One to World War Two, using that phrase. Search for the same phrase in Google, Books, and you will find many USMC histories that use the “Soldiers of the Sea” title.

I belonged to a flying club in Bridgeport CT that was run by a Korean War Corsair pilot, a Marine. I was telling him about Uncle Bob who served in the Pacific during WWII. I described him as an Ex-Marine. His response was “Son, there are no ex-marine. Once a Marine, always a Marine”.

But the lesson to the Kieths of the world should be 'change for the better ' not 'the world would be better off without you '! Atleast I think so.

Another possible fix (of the many that have been suggested) would be to run the narrative text by a grammarian before feeding it through AI so the verb tenses aren’t so muddled and confusing. Also, consider an AI voice that actually modulates pitches somewhere close to human speech. The whole production is hideously flawed. And oh yeah, thanks adamsmith8797 for providing the key ingredient. Bottom line: I will avoid this channel from now on.

There is no such thing as a Marine Soldier. Its either Marine or Soldier.
There is no ex-voyage or ex-routine. This, no ex- Marine. The term is just for paper work.

Another possible fix (of the many that have been suggested) would be to run the narrative text by a grammarian before feeding it through AI so the verb tenses aren’t so muddled and confusing. Also, consider an AI voice that actually modulates pitches somewhere close to human speech. The whole production is hideously flawed. And oh yeah, thanks adamsmith8797 for providing the key ingredient. Bottom line: I will avoid this channel from now on.
