I’m not surprised. I didn’t like that movie because they somehow fell in love and her character didn’t slowly change, it just changed all at once. And before that point it just seemed so forced that he fell in love with her 🤷‍♀️

Why would Grant think they would want a picture of him? I have no clue why he would feel slighted.

Not everytime you would date a popular person. He might have been unfamiliar with the terms on how to act around. Imagine you are taking a picture with your favorite idol. Most ppl include the person they(idol) are dating as well. That's why Grant thought that they also wanted a pic with him. And the reason he broke up was also valid. Not everyone wants a relationship where secret agents will keep an eye all day. Grant realized the intensity later.

Watching this as a teenager : it's soo romantic and cute and amazing adventure. Watching now: wow everyone in this movie is super unprofessional

Looks by growing up you lost the ability to enjoy the romantic part of the movie and focus more on logic , it’s a bit sad though.

I loved this movie! Mathew Goode is fantastic, Mandy Moore plays her part well and my first time hearing The Roots! One of my faves!

As I am now a young adult, I have grown a keen interest in the explanation of romantic movies like that, though I had purposely hated the genre romance since my childhood. Bless you.😊😇🙏

This has been one of my most favourite movies during my young adult years.the story though very common place has elements that we as normal girls often relate to...the restrictions,the hours that we have to keep up with,the first love... The love that blooms in the face of all the adventures and obstacles is very romantic.i still feel nostalgic when ever I see a poster of the movie ...

Same, I loved this movie growing up.

Matthew is absolutely irresistible in a Discovery of Witches. Absolutely exudes an intense sensuality in his performance.

I love his thing in Leap Year where he says things like "Ah Louis, good to meet you" after she tells him her bag is a Louis Vuitton. Or "...diddly eye" as in "I will quickly hop over to Dublin diddly eye and propose to my boyfriend diddly eye because that's what is done here diddly eye"

Remember this so well lol.😅 Like the part where they were in the car and he made fun of her mission to propose and she threw his sandwich out the window. He never stopped making fun of her it was priceless... "It comes as a real shock to find out you speak fluent cow.." 😂 Somewhere above in the thread, someone mentioned that Leap Year was apparently the movie Matthew regretted making - which shocked me and anyway I liked that movie.. it was hilarious.

I first remembered Matthew Goode from the movie Watchmen. It was there, where he left an impression on me to remember him. After that, i have recognised him in multiple, older films and i must say, his acting range is quite good, almost like Gary Oldman. :) The early 2000s were a production paradise for the Czech Republic, pitty it's no longer the case.

Mandy Moore suits my movie 'A walk to remember' much more because she deserved the guy in my movie where in this movie she didn't. She was just rebellious and disrespectful, not understanding to why her dad was overprotective of her. Just WAIT for her freedom, men are always there. Parties aren't going anywhere. Exactly. They act like life's very tough and when they are given freedom they make the stupidest decisions like swimming without clothes in public even though her dad is a popular person who has a serious job. She didn't even get rich and popular by herself. All she can do is start a turmoil on her dad's career. Also I think such influential figures with lots of enemies should teach their children some self defense too instead of giving a whole gang of agents on their back. And Anna keeps running with strangers like she knows how to deal with them if they are the wrong person with bad intentions. She doesn't have much real life knowledge to do so.
