If Caroline Ellison was told to commit a crime, did she know that it was a crime? Did SBF know it was a crime? If someone told me to steal money from a bank, I wouldn't. If most people were told this, they wouldn't. Being given orders to commit a crime doesn't excuse one's responsibility of committing the crime. If this were true, then one could always deflect away from responsibility from what one did to a hierarchy of decision-making in which one doesn't have free will to make a decision on what is right and wrong.
