Never been a fan of Mercedes since they stopped making this car. IDK why, but I loved it's look, especially the CLK GTR...but a lot of people I know call it ugly :(

Bladed Angel I too don't understand why people call it ugly. It's really beautiful and even though it doesn't look modern anymore it still looks good. Some say that sounds like an RC car (because of its transmission) and that other cars sound like beasts. But I never knew you liked the CLK-GTR and even though I might not like your gaming channel (cause it's a weeb one) I love your car channel. You're doing a great job!

2005 CLK55 AMG coupe owner, one of only 247 made. Only 72k miles, car runs like a dream and is the ultimate sleeper...performance still on par with many new sports cars today.

I have a CLK55 AMG and still to this day love that car

The 1998 to 2002 cars are great and look super cool. Accept when CLK 55 AMG COUPE came, I was sad and beyond.

The CLK GTR the other German GTR loved by NFS fans from the '90s school. (despite I'm a '99s kid) and also it was my 3rd favorite in the NFS Hot Pursuit 2 (the other ones are the Lamborghini Murcielago and the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C5).

Extremely shocked that the 2005 CLK 55 AMG "Avantgarde" Sport Coupe was not mentioned due to it's rarity and special parts! One year available only, it had an AMG Appearance package with rear spoiler, Huge 6-Piston Front/4-Piston Rear Carbon Ceramic brakes, AMG Suspension upgrades, rear differential cooling fins, AMG factory Quad Exhaust, 18" Twin-Spoke AMG exclusive Forged Aluminum wheels staggered with wider rear tires than normal CLK's, Bi-Xenon Headlamps and Foglamps, and also had the Frosted Aluminum interior trim with the newer-style DVD based Navigation unit/Stereo unit. Only 247 CLK 55 Coupes were made for the US in TOTAL with 882 Coupes made in TOTAL for 2005, the CLK 55 AMG Coupe's final year(but would continue for 2006 in Cabriolet form only). It is unknown how many of these were the rare Avantgarde Sport. Mine has 182k miles on her with that beautiful M113 5.4L V8 and is wicked fast for being N/A! The M112/M112k/M113/M113k family of engines are bulletproof 500k+ mile engines, I would much rather have a CLK 55 AMG than a CLK 63 AMG for the reliability alone! In the real world, the CLK 55 is as fast if not faster than a CLK 63 anyways, although I wonder how much of that could be influenced by the amount of cam lobe wear the M156's seems to get as they rack up miles.

This car was good and there's a significant number of enthusiasts of the CLK models. The good thing regarding the styling of the 2000's was the big resemblance to the C55 AMG which the headlights where borrowed from the CLK and both SLK and CLK where based on the W203 chassis from the Mercedes C Class which by far can be considered one of the nicest looking C Class models of all time specially towards the facelift years.

Just for (additional) information, the new CLK is still on sale today, only with a different name, E-Class coupe. The same thing happened to the CL, which is changed into S-Class coupe. As for the CLK 63 and CLK 63 Black, the most identical car you can buy today is C63 AMG S coupe, C63 AMG Black series (successor of the CLK 63 Black Series), and the new E 53 AMG coupe

The CLK GTR kinda represents my character. I don't know why? Looking more like a mix of a humble car with an aggressive body and the engine is a beast too especially it has the same heart as a Pagani though it sounds slightly different. I was amazed by how bossy and monstrous it looks when I played Project Gotham Racing 2 which is the first time I saw the car anywhere in the world.

Very informative video. Thank you! Can you please use the metric and imperial units together next time? It’s just too much work to convert mph to kmh on my mind. Lb to kg as well.

Always remember to mention from what market is car from video. I believe that you mentioned CLK from USA because leather seats were optional in Europe, also in Europe there are for example CLK 200, CLK 200 Kompressor, CLK 230 Kompressor, CLK 320, CLK 430, CLK 55 AMG
