Nah, it's still pretty rare. When you beat SMB3 for the first time, you can play the game again and your inventory is filled with the P-Wings. I think that's it.

@King Hyper sonic the hedgehog It's useful if you used Lakitu's Cloud to skip certain levels and the Airship goes past them causing you to have to beat the levels.

Umm, hi, Shiromi. Everyone thinks the Hammer Suit doesnt have a glide. Vanilla no-cheats SMB3 wont have it exept if you get the power-up while you are sliding or a glitch but there is a sprite for sliding Hammer Mario. I did it on a emulator with changing the powerup with an cheat code while sliding. Just so you know, it may once been possible to slide as Hammer Mario. I think Nintendo took it out. Also, i discovered this on Japanese version(lots of stuff in english, only toad is japanese).

Blue Shell in NEW Super Mario Bros. has always been my favorite

I love the Red Star! Shame that it was only in Galaxy 1 and never 2. Best flight power up in a 3D Mario title.

Also it's a bummer that even in Galaxy 1 it wasn't used that often. Personally I like the Red Star more than the Tanooki Suit, Super Acorn or other flying powers :)

Shiromi I think it did something that no other flying power up managed to do. Make you “fly”; in the same way the frog suit in SMB3 made you “swim”.

You missed the P wing power up and the Super Tanookie in super Mario 3-D land (2011) and the Super Tanookie again in super Mario 3-D world, along with the Special Bell also in Super Mario 3-D World.

What does the anchor do ? It prevents the airship from moving.

Imagine what will happen with more than one toot on that flute. Mario will be sent to another game.

Penguin Suit isn't rare in NSMBW But From what I can recall, the only level that had the Penguin Suit in NSMBU Was 4-5 (Ice-Slide Expressway), so it is rare in NSMBU.

The SuperBall Flower was before Super Mario Maker 2, in Mario Land

You have it wrong the superball flower is from super Mario land not mario maker two it was basically like a little cameo from super Mario land when they decided to put it in Mario maker

Hm...I wouldn't call Flute, Anchor, Wings (for Yoshi), and 3-Up Moon as Power-Ups. Now I'm just simply put out the facts, so: I forgot what the Anchor does, but the Flute can only be used during level-select map in SMB3. It only lets you skip places that's probably too much to handle. So, yeah: not a Power-Up. Yoshi Wings only apply to Yoshi, not Mario and Luigi in SMW2 (because they got the Cape Feather to do so already). It may be a Power-Up for a normal or any other colored Yoshi, but the blue Yoshi already has that talented "Power-Up". So yeah: also not a Power-Up. The 3-Up Moon is like three 1-Up mushrooms mixed together in a hidden area. Unless it has some hidden abilities for Mario and Luigi, all it does is only give you 3 lives. No more, no less. Once again: not a Power-Up. Also: the Super Hammer only appears in a certain level in Story Mode. If you're trying to look for it while playing other player's levels or creating your own, then you'll sadly find that it's not there...probably not yet. Besides, this Power-Up only appears in one level (as I've known so far)!

Why even show the anchor if you're not going to show what it does? I never got it in the original, but I got a hammer item in the Super Mario All-Stars version, it breaks special roadblocks that lead to secret areas such as in the desert world you can use it to then fight a pair of Fire Bros. to get a magic flute.

I miss the blue shell power up... And the leaf. I perfer it over the acorn.

Usually in that game, if you die on an airship level, the airship itself flies off to some other part of the world map, and you have to follow it. Using the anchor item prevents that, so if you die, the ship can't move, and you don't have to follow it.

Am I the only one that thinks that they should add all these power ups to Mario Maker 2

And Metal Mario? I'm not sure if it appears in other games and it's basically the Super Star but a lot better
