The animation for shooting, walking etc is the same but damn you can tell they really put in passion in the first one alot of the environment is just amazing for 1996 animation

It's kinda sad how the franchise turned into gacha games with anime waifus and stuff out of the tone of the cartoonish and funny vibes that used to have. I hope Metal Slug Tactics will be cool, I'm looking forward for that one, whenever is the release date, I'll try to get it ❤

Originality and pure spirit of this series ended with Metal Slug 3 in 2000. After SNK went bankrupt, there's been only downfall of this cult classic sadly. The only exceptions in modern series after MS3 are MS5 and MS7.

Tactics is literally the only spin off to both follow the original arstyle and have an identity of its own, hoping it's good.

If you think about it calmly, it is amazing that shotguns and machine guns can destroy tanks. The recoil from the shot is going to break my bones.

they showcased the toned down version of metal slug 1, the metal slug 1 in the video is not the original version, a lot of frames were cut from everything for it to run on some emulator. The Arcade version is what you should be playing and enjoy

@@BigOlRub have you actually played the ps1 version? its a port that trimmed the sprite, they may have the gallery, but the in game sprite look like it got cut into 14fps

so the end is on metal slug 7 or doube x

This game parodies everything. From Arabs to Americans to Germans to Japanese and I love it.

I wish they just made Metal Slug 8. A true continuation of the series. Of course using the same old hand drawn sprites and artwork. The sounds could use an update. I got tired of the groans and screams being reused over and over again.
