Impressively at that time Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was huge. But one thing that stuck out to me that I noticed was that the maps started out small and slowly gotten bigger and then smaller again and then massive lol

I know all of los santos as a kid when it came out I wasn’t that good a gamer so I basically just stuck on los santos, San fierro and las venturas I have to use the marker!!

Gta 3 map is big, the map is looking like this, but its mega big, in this game you dont have map button you cant look at the map because they arent, so you need to remember everything

@@RAWRimaCATx33 lies...cant do cali again thats what 5 was AND San Andreas (two very legendary games)....I would have loved NYC again but we already did NYC three times (GTA 1,3, and 4). Ive been to Louisiana, Georgia, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, the carolinas, hell even PA. DDull quiet places, not very eventful. Florida is your best bet. I cant see Alaska working well, would be too much of a Red Dead vibe. As far as going to South America, that happened already with Just Cause...Europe, I believe they did that already with previous games. Australia also would not work. Canada would be an option but to my knoweldge, people are not allowed to own guns in Australia or Canada, sure youre a criminal in GTA 6 but weapon shops wouldnt exist if it takes place in Australia or Canada or hell even Europe. GTA Africa maybe? lmao. Florida is the best bet here.

NYC, Miami and LA are getting a little stale, GTA 7 (if I get to experience that in my lifetime) should take place somewhere else. There‘s a lot of great places outside the US. I just hope Rockstar can continue to make good games when most of the main writing staff quit

Agree. Every centimetre of Liberty City was realistic and felt alive. And it portrayed better than any other GTA the grim and decaying atmosphere of the urban jungle. People say that the GTA V map is better, but over half of it is empty, and the city of Los Santos is bland and uninspiring (like real life California).

GTAV is a decade old and still looks better than 90% of new releases

Hope they don’t disappoint us. After GTA San Andreas they only improved the graphics but reduced the maps (and removed many functions such as eating, losing and gaining weight, working-out, etc.)

Ye and even for PS3 good old times

Even though GTA IV's map was smaller than GTA SA's map, it felt like an actual real city that seemed really big and wide than it actually is because of the amount of detail put into Liberty City that makes it an accurate replica of New York City. GTA IV just felt so real, it's legendary on a whole other level. The dark gritty atmosphere and the minor little details and features as well as the physics simply contributes more to the realism. And whenever I remind myself that this is all just a "game", it always blows my mind.

If you look at all the maps, they added water to cut down on some of the area that the would need to make

It would’ve been really cool if they made a new GTA game after GTA 6 but only with all of the gta maps from the first GTA game to now in one GTA game together, even if they’re in a different universe, it still could be possible. Imagine all the old voice actors, and main characters come back to make this happen. Maybe not all since some passed away, bless their soul. Rockstar would’ve wrote a really good long storyline about it, also with a lot of things to do & so many places to visit. They could also make it into online with players able to play it. It would’ve been really cool with one huge map with everything together, and would’ve been one of Rockstar’s top 5 huge game to sell out fast in history. Hopefully someday they do that, I would’ve loved for it to happen.

I still remember i used to pay 10 15per hour to play GtA vice City in cafes! 🗿 Damn those golden days..

On san andreas, I still remember a route to a go kart that I spent hours trying to get without dying. Every time I played, it was a run to the go kart which had 2 outcomes 1, I die and pass the controller or 2, I survive the wanted level and get to enjoy the game for much longer before having to pass it on.

GTA SA is a huge change, with one of the largest maps and thousands new things added

i love old liberty city maps (gta 3 and lcs's) naps so much..

everyone making gta 3 remasters feeling like gangsta, try gta 1 or 2 😂

I feel like i wanna play Gta san Andreas now i miss those that i do like: Cheats, missions, Killing, Chaos, Airplane, Cars, and Helicopters:(

Vice City was always my favorite map and to see Liberty City and San Andreas get HS versions for gta 4&5 made me even more hyped for gta 6 and now it’s finally coming

GTA really had the different feel state to state down to what radio station was on when you hijacked a car in different states

Completing GTA Vice city and San Andreas 100% without single cheat is my greatest childhood achievement.

Well GTA 1 actually had 3 maps. Those 3 maps were: Liberty City and New Guernsey (based on New York and New Jersey), Vice City (based on Miami), San Andreas (based on San Francisco)
