What do you act in now?

Batman: The Animated Series had such a fantastic version of his rogues gallery given the amount of dramatic impact that they took with their tragic stories. Boy do I miss that series. Also, as far as Clayface goes, that version is always the one that springs up in my mind first. Also the one from "The Batman" animated series was pretty great.

And animazion too. Dark Deco was the top of choice for Batman franchise, some of one great ideas of Bruce Timm for the series.

I want to see him in a movie but sadly they'll go the easy route and make him in "human form" for the majority of his screen time

That’s what makes them good

He is certainly a unique villain. He could have been like a T-1000 in a Batman movie or The Thing from a 1982. movie. Too much potential.

I'd really like to see Clayface have the standalone DC treatment like a horror film like The Fly. Also, the Ethan Bennett iteration is the one I remember the most fondly. It really made me feel the tragedy of his character.

impact Batman animated series had on DC is still not talked about as much as it should. Clayface was terrifying and amazing. Did alot to build his character arch

Other than the whole mad of mud thing, I would love to have Clayface's powers. Shapeshifting has so much potential.

1977’s Joker in The New Adventures Of Batman sounds like one of those rich people in the 1980’s

Ron Perlman as Clayface/ Matt Hagen remains amazing before his work in Hellboy.

I think the New Batman Adventures had the best depiction of Clayface in Growing Pains. Holy shit was that episode emotional

My favorite is still Ethan Bennett from The Batman. I know he’s not the most faithful version. But he’s just so cool.

Man, Clayface is so underrated, he’s so cool! I think it would be cool if maybe they made a movie, where there are murders in Gotham, and Batman can’t figure it out, until the big reveal that it’s Clayface. I actually had an idea for this to be an arc in my own Batman series, I posted a whole comment about it on Phil Cho’s Super Hero Family video

If i remember correctly.... that was, as it often was for bat-villains, the series that made him. before that version, his shapeshifting was seen as a "gimmick" power, and not particularly interesting to work with. Boy howdy did they change that.

TAS Clayface is hands down the best version of Clayface, but come on, we all know that. So I'll say my second favorite Clayface is Ethan Bennet from The Batman, just for how insanely well written he was.

I don't understand why they went with Matt Hagan for the animated series. Hagan was just some crook who found a pit of goo that let you shape shifter for twenty four hours or something. Basil Karlo was the actor.

"Basil" as in "Basil Rathbone", known for his time as Sherlock Holmes on the big screen, while "Karlo" is a spin on Karlos, as in Boris Karloff, the legendary horror icon (most known for playing the Frankenstein monster). Basil Karlo first appeared as an actor turned villain, Clayface being the name of a character he played on the big screen. He got his powers (and the look from the cartoon) later.

It's described as like flexing muscles. It takes a constant effort to hold a shape, and he'd need to hold it that way and avoid any and all water for the rest of his life. also he's not very stable

The animated Bat Man series with Kevin Conroy fighting Clay Face better than any other it also shows good personality as well I'm sure Clay Is not finished yet because like Poison Ivy he keeps returning a lot

I’m here for The Batman Part ll

I grew up watching Batman TAS and i always liked Clayface . Ron Perlman is the and only voice of Clayface and he did a phenomenal performance in Batman TAS and The New Batman Adventures and Justice League . Ron Perlman is awesome in voiceacting and as an actor . The Feat Of Clay Part 2 was awesome and especially TMS animation for Clayfaces shapeshifting and it reminds me of T-1000 but with clay .

Technically, a live-action Clayface did appear in the Adam West show, he just wasn't called Clayface. He was called False Face, but wasn't based on that character and rather on Clayface. In fact, his real name in the show was Basil Karlo, aka, Clayface. Also, I just realized, they never caught Clayface in Gotham after that plot against Penguin. He's still out there.

Who would think that there's actually a decent character arc for Clayface in that heap of drek
