It ah hite...but not making 500 sucks but a so it go..its SURVIVAL.

My evo 8 head has upgraded valves titanium retainers upgraded springs gsc zero tick lifters gsc valve seals. I have hks 272 but have to change them do to some pitting on the lopes. Head is back and i wondering should go with GSC S2 cams or Kelford 272. I have a stock block fp stock frame ported turbo manifold evo 9 turbo and will get the fp 71hta super core compressor cover bigger injectors and call it good. Just not sure what cams to go with next?

S2 are a little larger. I prefer kelford 272 for Evo 8s street driven 600 hp or less.

Nice and informative video. I want 750whp. Which is better, 6466 or gt42R? And about how much hp can the 3582 push with a fully built 2.3 motor on 36psi?

I always prefer Garretts over precision. However, the gt42r is outdated I would look into g35-1050.

@@bdalchemist okay thanks. However I’m looking at 2 built evos for sale, one with 6466 and the other with gt42r, so those are the only 2 choices I’m limited to.

Hello I have an Evo 8. 10 plus years ago I brought a GTX3582r gen 1 for an RB28 build that I never used (still brand new) with .82 rear. I am currently stroking the evo motor to a 2.2 and doing a full head job etc. All with the intention of putting this turbo on the build. It will have a custom low mount large runner SS manifold. But I've just watched this video and may I ask am wasting my time with this turbo? Should I bin it and get something else newer? My goal was anywhere from 600 to 700hp atw. Thanks heaps

Th GTX gen is not as good as gen 2. Also the gen 1 in stock manifold doesn't work well. If you are using a complete kit where it's t3/t4 you will have better results.

Thanks for that. I think it has a T3 housing on it currently but I’m considering changing it to a Double V-band. Or just changing the turbo completely…. Maybe to a PSR 6255G?
