Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

howlinbeagle I’ve had no issues since the repair. The critical thing is matching the length of the hoses being replaced. The hoses disconnect from the pump or manifold by pushing down the black plastic ring that is around the hose and pulling the hose up. On my E-TEC, the line between the pump and manifold is a different diameter than the lines that go to the cylinders, so be thorough when identifying which hose is leaking if you’re not replacing all of the hoses. The hoses are held in place with small zip ties as clamps on the cylinder ends. Make sure you bleed the air out of the lines once you have replaced them. I looked at several videos to see the process. I hope all goes well with the repair.

There are no metric bolts on a etec Evinrude !

Thanks! I appreciate the info and feedback! Good to know.
No such thing as a "not serious oil leak" indeed.

Agree, I was freaked out a little when I saw the oil residue. Engine is working well after the repair with no more oil leakage.
