I feel like Kissin is a pianist who proves that you can be strong, fast and elegant at the same time. Of course you need to be good. Really good. And just because you want to create sound with volume doesn't mean you can just hit the keyboard, as anyone who has ever played a piano for a moderate time will tell you. He's obviously a master and transferring his energy to the keyboard without hitting it is a piece of piss for him. It's still a joy to see music and instrumentalism being executed and expressed on this level. Especially by a mediocre pianist like myself. Oh, and he is totally a headbanger, love it. Go watch his Chopin Etude Op 25 No 11 performance (the one where he wears the cream coloured jacket). He enjoys his pulses.

@@margaretlavender4418 Vulgar and crude? I suppose i am, if you consider urine to be such things. Whatever sense of formality and class a video of a great musical performance offers isn't really damaged by a single phrase that's a bit crude, not in my mind anyway. Lets not perpetuate the image that music like this should be enjoyed with fine clothing, wine and by people with high class vocabulary.
