Balls joke aside, the animation of the _Thief and the Cobbler_ is truly a work of art on its own rights. Beautiful and smoother like a ball. Richard Williams is truly a masterclass of an animator that he even wrote his own book about animation.

It has an interesting history. It started production in 1964 and didn’t see a release (albeit edited) until 1993.

And technically it still isn't finished. Which makes it difficult to watch. Cuz there are 3 versions out there, 2 fake decoy versions from the 90s that were rushed out the door to cash in on Disney's popularity, and then there's the "Recobbled Cut", which is the good version. Just remember the film was never finished, so it's gonna switch back and forth between pencil sketches, final animation, and stuff that's still being inked and colored. Bottom line: watch The Recobbled Cut. Also, Aladdin was actually a knock off of this film.
