    Excelent review! I’m very satisfied whit the Speed 360 pro, but sometimes i noticed a lack of feeling. The speed 360 + came whit more “feeling” but more high swig weight and this is my doubts about how much it’s make diference between the two models for positive and negative aspects.

    Hi Beckett, a very nice review. I am thinking of changing the racket from Pro Staff 97 to Head Speed Pro or Head Gravity. I played well with the Pro Staff 97 COUNTERVAIL, but after I bought the Pro Staff 97 without the COUNTERVAIL Technology, my feel and game isn’t good. Which choice do you think, I should make, the Speed or the Gravity (I haven’t Test the racket yet). And which String would be great for the gravity and the Speed. Thank you and Regards

    I'm going to guess that the real reason you are stuggling between the two racquets is Wilson's quality control. CV or no CV, the performance should be the same. Unfortunately, Wilson may produce racquet +/- 7g from the targeted weight of 315g, the balance won't always be the same either, which can lead to wildly different swing weights. I do think you'll like the Gravity more than the Speed though. More connected feel.

    Just ordered this today. I was a fan of the previous model but found it a bit jarring and stiff despite the stiffness rating and it lacked plow. Hopefully its fixed. I was considering the prestige Mp 360 and the speed pro. Hopefully I made the right choice. My previous racquet was the ultra tour the igprestige mp

    Great choice! This racquet definitely has the kind soft flex some of the older Head fromes had, but the thicker beam makes it a bit more forgiving! I think you'll like it!

    Hi Beckett, I am currently using the Yonex Vcore 98. I like the blend of level of power in this racket, and the level of spin for kick serves. however I feel it doesn’t have much control when trying to hit flatter shots, and can fly long a lot. Also, I feel that it is quite unstable volleying against harder shots. I am a 5.0 (or utr of roughly 9) all court player, 17 years old, who also plays a lot of doubles. I’ve narrowed down my choices to the Speed mp, speed pro or pure strike 16x19. Which do you think will be best for me? I know it is best to demo them, just wondering your opinion.

  • @CourtsideSportsLTD

    Definitely the Speed Pro over the MP. The openness of the Vcore 98's string pattern is likely the culprit for your loss of control. I also prefer the Strike 18x20 for this reason. Another racquet I live right now is the Extreme Tour. Same awesome spin as the Vcore 98, but a more predictable string bed.

  • @CourtsideSportsLTD

    I think they are for two very different players who have the same goals. Those goals being a generally forgiving racquet that is rewarding to swing with intent that retains a very plush feel at impact. The Clash swings very fast due to a pretty head light balance and low swing weight. The Speed Pro feels quite heavy, even for its 310g weight. It swings heavier than the Clash 100 Pro because of the high swing weight.

    As soon as I picked this racket up I knew it was for me. I love the high swing weight, you can swing full out without fear of losing the ball long. The only issue is that I sometimes have trouble finding the sweet spot. Might be when I get lazy? I’m already stringing at 50lbs, should I go to 45? Or a different string? Any suggestions appreciated.

    I'm a believer in the philosophy "string as low as you can control." I heard Agassi say this (although the man did play with kevlar strings) and it spoke to me. With poly, there are pros stringing down in the 30's. At the end of his career, Daniel Nestor was stringing at 17lbs!!!! As long as you can still control the ball, try decreasing the tension by 3-5lbs at a time. If that doesn't help, try putting a multifilament nylon in the crosses (like Head Velocity) or lead at 3 and 9.

    I really like playing with this racket and I’m thinking of buying it. What string, hybrid or non hybrid, would you recommend for this racquet? Also, what tension would you recommend (clash is supposed to shine with strong at 48-50 lbs , what is the sweet tension range for this recommended for this racquet?)? Thanks!

    Full poly setup For spin: Solinco Tourbite 17 or 18. I like the crisper feeling string in this racquet. (This would be my choice) For comfort: Yonex Polytour Pro 17 or Babolat RPM Power For Power: Head Lynx Hybrid (pair with above poly's): For control: Head Velocity MLT For feel: Tecnifibre X1 Biphase The tension range is 48-57lbs. This racquet works great around 48-52lbs I think. Nothing wrong with going below 48lbs either!

    im in the market for a new racket. deciding between this and the pure aero. what can you recommend? im fairly new and i play a defensive baseliner style and hit with heavy topspin, which i know sounds perfect for the pure aero. However i also want to start developing my game to include flat shots and volleying.

    Definitely go with the Speed. Your game with suffer in the short term, but I think it's a great idea to "jump into the deep" with a racquet that will push you to develop your game. I did this when I switched from an AeroPro Drive to a VCore SV 95 and it made me a much better player!

    Hey Beckett, Nevin again here, excellent review! So with the Pure Strike 98 gen 3 18x20 and these G360+ Speed Pro, what are the similarities and differences for its power and control? I see that RA number is lower so I can see it will more comfortable than the PS gen 3, but gonna offer more power than the Blade v7 (that we've discussed in my comment of your Pure Strike Review).I'm still really taking my time researching for similar rackets haha, thank you so much!

  • @CourtsideSportsLTD

    @CourtsideSportsLTD

    Good to hear from you again, Nevin. The nice thing about the 360+ Speed Pro is the high swing weight. If you are doing a lot of baseline bashing, 330SW will be plenty powerful. The Strike's extra "power" will come mostly in extra forgiveness, helping you out on off centre shots and running shots. I feel more in control with the Speed over the Strike as well. I felt like the Strike had a pretty high launch angle that I couldn't always manage on approach shots. As you noticed, the flex tells most of the story here in terms of power and control. That said, most of the Speed's flex comes in the upper hoop, so if you make contact towards the tip, you may be down on power due to flex and instability.

    @@CourtsideSportsLTD Thank you for the input! in terms of the SW, it will be pretty similar correct between the Strike and the Speed Pro? But does the Speed Pro's 100 square inch head compared to the PS' 98 square inch head reduces its manoeuvrability (for OHBH vs THBH) though? And definitely noted for the contact point towards the tip that can cause the instability and down in power due to the flex. I felt that I wanted to move on to the Blade from the Pure Aero due to the stiffness and comfort (after trying the CV Blade 18x20 that has 65 RA for 3 weeks+), but since the new Blade v7 offers way less power (maybe lower tension could help?), I would have thought that the Pure Strike would be a good choice since it is slightly less stiff than Pure Aero (66 RA compared to 67 RA), better control but still has power. But now that I've read and watched regarding the Speed Pro, it felt like a choice in between the Blade and Pure Strike with similar specs, but more balanced in terms of power, control, and stiffness. Thanks so much!

    @@nevinliauw When I played with Strike 18x20, I definitely felt like I wanted more weight behind my shot, as opposed to the Speed Pro which felt fine. This could of course vary with manufacturer tolerances. I don't think there's a big difference in maneuverability between the two sticks for OHBH. The Strike is not really less stiff feeling that the Pure Aero for my arm. The Blade and Speed are definitely more comfortable though.

    Courtside Sports thank you for sharing your experience! I’ll definitely attempt to borrow friend’s speed pro first before really deciding my choice. For access to spin, does the speed pro have less spin potential compared to the pure strike 18x20? You did say that the pure strike 18x20 had a higher launch angle so I was wondering. For the maneuverability, i was wondering because I attempted to change back to a one hand backhand w the pure aero but it felt really hard to swing (it’s probably me making placebo effect on myself cuz the pure aero is a 100 inch) and stiff, elbow did not feel good. But when i borrowed my friend’s pure strike and went for the one hand backhand, it felt easier to maneuver, idk if it’s the size of the head again or just me. And in comparison with the cv blade 18x20, does the speed pro offer more power and spin? If you’ve tested it before :) Thanks a lot Beckett!

  • @CourtsideSportsLTD

    @CourtsideSportsLTD

    @@nevinliauw the Strike is more spin friendly than the Speed, but if I used a lot of backhand slice, I'd prefer the Speed anyway. I find the stiffer racquets harder to slice with. I'd take the time to try racquets you can and ultimately choose a racquet that compliments your strengths as a player. Djokovic, Federer and Nadal all use racquets that make the most of their most dangerous weapons, whether it be massive spin, lethal forehands or deadly returns.
