Everything You Need to Know About Tuning FPV Drones in just 25 Minutes

Ойын-сауық

I hope you are able to take at least one thing away from this video and apply it towards your own setup. This took many reiterations however I'm still not quite satisfied with the end result, mostly involving how I explained the reasoning for moving the sliders. IDK maybe I'm being too critical but It's gotten to the point where I'm burnt out on this project and I'd rather have it posted than not. Anyways the end goal was to improve upon the previous PID tuning tutorial that was made over a year ago, which I believe we did by a longshot. As always leave your feedback in the comments, thanks guys!

    Beheli32? I thought they closed up shop, from my understanding you can't upgrade your firmware or downgrade your kinda stuck on whatever you got as of now!

    Hey, what's your ideal temperature of a motor, how hot is too much for your liking? And do think wiring motor wires above esc so they aren't sticking out is creating interference that could make you increase filters? And last one do you tune your quad and change props often, or you tune for a possibility you might get bent prop and burn a motor?

  • @MurdersFPV

    @MurdersFPV

    If you can pinch the motor between your fingers comfortably then you're good. If you try to pinch the motor and your automatic reaction is to let go, it's too hot.

    From what I see, there is very little wobble room in tuning PIDs this way (i.e. only master multiplier and I-term require actual flying with goggles on to determine the best values). What I also know for sure is that there is no single best PID tune for a given drone and that a lot of settings depend on personal liking. Could you please clarify which of these let's say "rigidly" set values can be fine-tuned for personal liking?

  • @robert-gille

    @robert-gille

    There is a single best PID tune: the one that exactly tracks the set point. Everything you want to "feel" different is rates, throttle curves and rc smoothing.

    I was wondering the same thing. I just finished a 2.5” 6S. Where in the tuning process might a smaller prop tune be different? If at all? Great friggin video, tho…learned a TON!!

    I have a 3.6in quad the highest frequency I could see is 102 idk what to set my filters at. The less the less latency right? Idk it’s the axis flying mantra
