You can change Camera brightness in the WS goggles. It'll actually record to the DVR that way too. So it could have been set higher on a gloomy day, and then never switched back? HINT: If you grab a BetaFPV 85mm frame...cut ONE of the 4 super solid vertical struts for the battery cage out....and get a naked Vista....you can barely squeeze the naked Vista into that battery cage area and, with some bending and slow maneuvering....You can push that naked Vista into that battery cage. No need to mount it, it fits so damn tight it can't go anywhere. AH HAA! Now the center of gravity is moved way, Way, WAY LOW! It's no longer top heavy at all!!! The Vista/Link is so low, it's like a bottom battery mounted quad! Mount your AIO FC/ESC on top like usual.... 3D print one of Mr. Shutterbug's famous minimal camera mounts....mount the Vista/Link Nano camera in it and screw it right on top of the flush mounted AIO FC/ESC, I used 1103, 11,000kv motors and Voila! You have a super low rider DJI naked Vista/Link 85mm whoop RIPPER!!! The Nano camera is THE ONLY thing that sits up above the otherwise completely flat to the ducts, top of the whoop. Because that battery cage on the BetaFPV 85mm frame is so robust and solid, your Vista/Link is protected. I 3D printed, with flexible filament, a simply shock absorber landing pad / battery mount and fits under the batter cage naked Vista area. You can zip tie it onto the underside of the battery cage (now used for naked Vista). Make battery strap, rectangular loops, for your battery strap of choice and you have quite a wonderfully flying ultra clear HD image, 85mm tree canopy explorer, deep woods labyrinth squeezer inner (lol), incredible range, and overall fun 85 !!! Super easy build too! :)

I'm not sure about the frame, but some frames take both 6mm 3-bolt pattern and 9mm 4-bolt. As far as I know, most 1102s are 3 bolt, whereas 1103s are 4 bolt, so the 1102s won't fit this frame (though I'm sure there are some non-standard mount configurations among both sizes). I would say you were right on the edge of burning up! I was flying this evening which was nice and cool. With 5 to 6 minute flight times I noticed that my HDZ whoop lite only got warm to the touch which was reassuring. My concern is later this summer when the ambient temperature is above 90 F. IMO, there are craft that are suitable for the DJI 03, and there are not...An 85mm whoop is not suitable. Why wouldn't they simply use a naked Vista/Link? It still gives better image quailty than Walksnail's half baked 1080P...the 1080P JB won't even use because of all of it's issues. The Vista/Link wipes out HDZero, which can barely fly 30m without GOBS of colored sparklies and the inevitable rainbow screen of death. Just don't fly around any solid objects! LOL The Vista/Link weighs hardly a few grams more than either of the other two VTX's, but the performance and reliability makes it worth using it. The 03 is awesome, but unless they make it naked, it's not great for an 85mm.
