hunter has the worst movement of the 3 classes in terms of intended mechanics. titan has shield bashes and lion rampants, warlock has solar, hunter has, nothing? stompees are no diff from transversives.

I think the point tbf was that hunters were more agile not necessarily faster

Not only did they add rocket jumping to D2, a few concepts from tf2 have inadvertently been added too.. das pretty neat

@@tarrabah3213 speed pogo and wall jumping (I don't remember if those are the original names people used in tf2) were shown and are pretty much the same in terms of what the result is. Also you can technically sticky jump

If you want the sunset mountaintop you can buy it from the vendor in between the vaults at the tower otherwise the on level one comes out with reset I think. Enjoy! :) Also terribly sorry about the not 60fps dunno what happened just pretend there's more frames

as a tf2 player who loves to rocket jump and take advantage of similar tech, seeing this type of stuff hit d2 is a dream come true

At 1810 it only takes 6 to insta kill you at 100 resilience. Even 5 will do it if you're too close.

my training in tf2 jump academy finally is going to pay off

This gets me even more excited for the reprised version to come out. I have so much fun skating around on hunter and warlock but im a titan main and we cant really skate the same way so this is great.

If you want to manually detonate sticky grenades put on an explosive payload weapon and you can detonate them before the timer

For shooting grenades on the ground, you can get more height if you shoot 6, pop heat rises, then double jump right before they explode. A more consistent way to do this without worrying about timing is: shoot 1-5 (depending on how high you want to go), pop heat rises, double tap jump, then shoot the grenades with any weapon with explosive payload (you want to shoot RIGHT AFTER you jump). Both ways will get you higher and give more speed.

You also forgot to mention that you can stand on a sparrow, shoot it till it’s on fire, then use spike grenades + heat rises to go even higher

back in black armory, the first thing that came to mind when one shotting a yellow bar or any high health enemy with mountaintop was the satisfaction of hitting an icy rock with an ice pick. now you can literally climb walls with mountaintop so that analogy works even better now 😂

Ive been using the new mountaintop as just a heightened jump and it feels great for combat and jump puzzles

I’m making a new big speed preset once I get the perfect mountaintop. Need one with both spike, sticky’s and at least some good perks. I’ll be satisfied with overflow, auto loading, or impulse with either recombination or vorpal. Honestly I still don’t know what exactly I want, its perk pool is pretty stacked. Hopefully a shiny drops with multiple good options.

Overflow is gonna be wild.

i have noticed there is some inconsistency with heat rises sometimes is wont launch you at all if your just using spike nades

As a titan main, I knew warlocks were gonna have a field day with this shite cus of heat rises, then my brain blew up when I realised you could launch from any direction.... even down

damn when i saw mountaintop skating i thought you were gonna do my idea. so when you shoot BEHIND you with the missiles. i wanna see someone time a wellskate so they get launched forward by both the skating AND the explosions

So when the TFS light cap increase hits we should save an overflow sticky nade roll at 1800 to decrease self damage yes?

just chiming in here in a post tfs world: since wq we've had minimum power boosts so this wouldn't have even worked lol most importantly, power is now shared across all weapons. 1900 heavy weapon and 2000 gear on everything else? now your heavy is doing the same amount of damage as something actually leveled in a 1945 capped activity

I love how hunters are supposed to be the fastest class but are actually the slowest lol

@@Unohxna Mobility has nothing to do with speed my guy. Mobility only affects strafe/walk speed and jump height. Shatterskate will always be faster than a titan.

Quick question. I can only keep my momentum on shatterskate if I look behind me and shoot in the middle of a skate, if I just look down it kind of halts my entire momentum. Is that because of heat rises/warlock jump or am I doing something wrong?

Warlock keeps the momentum better but if you shoot directly down during a shatter skate you should get a good vertical boost 'Stompees' would definitely help too

I really hope with whatever subclass we get after final shape that hunters get some kind of thing we can manipulate as much as warlocks can with heat rises and icarus dash. Makes me so sad to see them get basically ALL the cool movement tech

It’s all about the timing you can do it! Practice in mayhem crucible private matches and change the setting on super regen so it’s even faster. If you’re having trouble the hunter one is easier as it doesn’t use your super

Hey don’t know if you’re still struggling but the biggest tip for me was leaving enough space in between the ledge and yourself. Enough to get the heavy attack and jump inputs in comfortably. A lot of guides will tell you to stand directly at the ledge but standing a bit ways back is usually better for anyone not using a macro

how to skate in them ? Just stick them down then wellskate ? Doesnt work for me ^^

You gotta get the timing just right when I was learning I was using a timer on my phone. Basically shoot all 7 down and then swap and skate almost immediately :)

Yeah, but often they will remove it because it makes some sort of encounter easier. Remember that they wanted to remove the new skating tech after it was discovered. They did remove old skating etc.

If ur on console turn off auto melee and then it’s easy. For warlock practice in mayhem on the eternity map and for hunter go to Europa. Also for hunter rebind the shatterdive key to single press. Inputs for warlock are eager edge heavy attack, super. Jump. (Right trigger, both bumpers, jump button) forgot the imputs for hunter but I’m pretty sure it’s heavy attack, then other imputs (no specific input I’m pretty sure) Also make sure you have a ledge or a slope before you skate otherwise it won’t work (especially for warlock since it can cost ur super)

The main sticky nade launch is super easy I highly recommended messing around with it, super fun :)

Speeds are defenetly gona be faster like LW where you have a few peeps skip golgi now
