Can't wait. Setting taxes on this granular level... simplified water and electricity supply, better AI. I just hope they actually deliver and don't fudge the launch.

they actually made electricity way more complex. While wires come with roads, they now have capacity and will need transformer stations to convert high capacity current to normal current. Powering your city will have more to it than just connecting everything.

@@golemofiron7250 Sadly this is just a norm. Devs always focus on PC then consoles, and since consoles play a lot different then pc games, they have to redo lots of things. I wouldn't call a delay for console them failing their launch as it's not really a big deal and to 'fail' a launch, the game needs to first of all be launched on said platform, so it can't fail on console till it releases on it, then it has to be quite bad, which if the pre-release footage from the youtubers playing it says anything, it will be at least good. Maybe even great.

What I MUST know about CSII is what janky stuff have they fixed since CS1? Do entry/exit points on buildings switch depending what side of the road they're on? Do we still get 'deathwaves'? Do the vehicles all drive in the inside lane filling it and jamming up while there's 2-3 empty lanes at the side? etc. etc.

Have they said anything about the ability to make your own maps? Because if they are going to sell maps as DLC i am a bit worried they might have locked the ability to import selfmade maps....

This game needs a 3rd persom free roam function like the console version of the otiginal CS had. It would add far more immersion than the sequel alpears to have and would give plenty of oportunities for content creators to showcase their cities. Big missed oportunity if it doesn't have that feature.

One thing that would have been crazy to implement, and I know how much this will trigger players, is to have like a 10% of traffic be obnoxiously idiotic ie, driving too slow/fast or cutting the wrong lanes etc etc.

It seems it definitely will be heavier on the money/ resource management side than cs1, although I can’t quite gauge how “hard” the game will be by default from the gameplay I’ve seen. I agree though cs1 was far too easy once you amassed a certain amount of cash

Would love to see some more human content. Crime gangs, religions, political groups, monopolies etc.,. This would add a nice narrative flavour to the game and breath life into the cities and could be used to create certain random scenarios like rioting, financial slumps and crime waves.

I HIGHLY doubt they’ll add religious groups into the game, simply because it’s far too controversial to include such a thing - the rest however sound promising although the game should 100% focus more on the city building sandbox rather than immersion or role play first.

You specifically said that you can still design specific routes for busses etc, but.. my question is, do you *have* to? You never kept going on that subject, so my question is, can you simply plop bus stations and let them automatically determine routes? Because that was a feature of SC4, more than 20 years ago, and which every city sim will be judged against, because nothing yet has come anywhere close to its level of detail.

My number one desire with C:S2 is substantially improved performance over C:S1's terrible implementation, which choked on medium-sized cities, unable to produce for than 30-ish frames per second, with only essential minor mods and on high-end hardware 5 years newer than the game. The devs never addressed performance, opting instead to overencumber the game with DLC. And it's still a conspicuously absent topic when it comes to C:S2. If city maps are going to be five times larger, then performance has to be ten times better. Any and all new features are irrelevant if the game runs like a sportscar on square wheels.

Will I be able to build my "Grand Boulevard" (4 lane freeways, Monorail, tram lines bordering a park like area, with junctions (with buss stops) every 10 to 15 miles) and "Omni Needle"(3x size with multi discs)? Will CS2 have gas and vehicle repair/body shops? ;-) It was a shame I couldn't copy/paste builds (Grand Boulevard) from my test map to a game map in CS1, will I in CS2?
