I like how they say " loyal". In other words please don't leave us for all of the other life simulation games coming out.

i mean sims has been a staple in life simulation for 20 years and i’d most definitely say a majority of the play base is extremely loyal especially when people either do still try to continue to play even through big issues or are dedicated enough to help them out with the issues

It's funny how people say competition to make EA do better. Soon that turned into Paralives will bring EA down because Sims seems to be their top money maker. Anything we got if Paralives promises, it's because EA is scared. EA stole the color wheel from Paralives. Which that was the beginning of just compare ts4 to the rest of the games. Which I'd stay is half ass comparing. Now this news and people's responses. I saw another video's comments section. people were saying they see no one plays this garbage, they know the end is near and the usual assume it's half assed fixing. So competition.... Really seems more like termination of Sims. Though considering it's been almost 10 years of the argument the game is sh*t, yet sales are great and the number of players grow, yeah I'd say a good portion of the community are loyal players but there are people who stick around to discourage people from playing Sims. Those people who already decided good riddance EA.

I hope they fix the lag time with parents interacting to infants. So frustrating when they are standing still right in front of the crib, but can't do Anything for Hours!

You know why? Because the infant is trying to do something but cant and the parent will be able to do something only when their infant interaction is over, OR it also happen when another sim randomly or because the infants needs are low, will want to help the infant, and this will cause the selected sim to not respond in front of the crib, waiting that the other sim finish the interaction, so the infant is available... the problem, is all sims will try to help the infant so often, it causes other sims we choose not completing the interaction because someone else automatically is trying to help... same happen in between older sims. I stopped making families it droves me crazy and now, when playing with 3 or more sims, I need to turn off autonomy.

I think it’s good that other life simulation games are being developed, it gives the sims team an actual reason to improve the sims4 experience. Hopefully they will employ a bigger and better team to play test, improve and enhance the experience. They have competition now and the community is fed up with the rubbish that ea keeps selling us.

I don't know how much this is affecting anyone else, but I can only play for a few hours (max 2-3 hours) before needing to close out of the game because sims just get laggier and laggier. I can only assume it's acquiring dustbins or strings of code that aren't being cleared. Things as small as bathing infants causes the sims to pause in place for many sim hours until I cancel the action or reset the sim. The multi-task feature is horrendously bugged, it keeps prioritizing chatting with people over everything. My sims are constantly chatting themselves to starvation and exhaustion, or cancelling actions I've asked them to do repeatedly to go hang out with their friends. They need to sit down and pour through their own bug forums and playtest the heck out of it.

I have the same issue but I don't close the whole game, I exit to main menu and reload the save and usually that fixes if for me. Still annoying to wait for my household to load again though when I used to be able to play for like 10 hours straight with no problems, lol.

@@rhiannonhincy5281 Sometimes reloading helps, sometimes it still lags to heck and back after loading back in. I've just gotten used to closing it all out and debating if I want to jump back in. 😅

looool so i might have just been a silly billy and the freezer bunny thing may have only been hinting to the new fixes team !but if that’s the case i feel weird that they’d emphasise free stuff bc obvs fixes are always free? we shall see

I don't think the freezer bunny tease was for the fixes. A few of the Gurus have been hyping the tease up and even EA_Cade on the Sims forums has been hyping saying he cannot wait to see how the community reacts to this.

Molly, concerning the lags, most people dont know this, but this could solve it. I dont experience lags, like I used to. One time, I noticed there was a lot of lags, and out of the blues opening my game, and nothing would ''fix'' it, opening the save menue, saving etc... nothing, so I ctrl+Esc my game, ctrl+alt+delete, openened Task Manager and then I noticed EA app (10), which is not normal and I immediately forced closed (end) the EA app task, then I reopened the EA app, and launch the sims 4 from it and then it was working well, without lags. I have seen many people talking about it, but it worked for me, so I am pretty sure thats whats happening for some other people...

My game wouldn't open for about 2 weeks. I gave up. Tried again this week, restarted my computer a thousand times, made sure everything was updated, and no broken mods etc. The game opened, but it was lagging so bad I gave it up again. Good to know they are working on fixing it.

Sounds like corrupted CC… after removing any mods and CC, did you delete the localthumbnail cache file from your docs, and the other file in the cachestr. folder?? That worked for me..

New life sims coming makes EA be like "oh shi- we gotta do something guys" xD with that said it's really good we are getting fixes!!

Oooh stars signs!! That would be interesting! I’m also trying not get my hopes up but I do think this has to be bigger than an SDX drop but smaller than something like infants (or we would have got a teaser trailer like we did for them). I thought about a free world eg based on France since we have got any free worlds in like 10 years and this is the kind of thing they could probably do to promote the new kits

I’ve recently bout high school years and it’s so laggy it’s horrible

I just startesd a vet clinic and my rating keeps bouncing between 3.5 and 4. id Get 4 stars then it returns to 3.5, Ive tried everything ab appently this has been a bug for years. Im so upset that this isn't on the list.

True. I've been running a vet clinic for a while, and even cheating the skills of my employees won't get my clinic above 4 stars. I've tried every trick to push the rating up, but it doesn't work.

The thing that I don't understand is how people keep ignoring the fact that many people have built their careers on creating content for The Sims 4 if they should lose that because the Sims team wants to tank the game what are they supposed to do? I don't understand how people can ignore the actual blood of this game because it certainly isn't pumping out of the Sims 4 team

I don’t see the time and dedication that the team puts into the game because we have Dine Out, My Wedding Stories and For Rent that are for some people still bugged out till this day. The plants reverting also makes packs like eco lifestyle and Cottage Living a lil less useful. Not saying it’s the team’s fault fully it’s definitely mostly on EA. Until I see this change I won’t believe it.

Do you think that the “free stuff” coming up could possibly be something to celebrate their anniversary? Isn’t it 25th? Or am I wrong?

next year on feb is the 25th franchise wise and sept this year is 10 for sims 4

This doesn't feel like an attempt to beg us to stey as 3 games sre coming as i see people thinking. I feel like this is like....i think 2020. I swesr every month for 6 months, we had bug fixes. Plus mentioning the laundry list of bugs to be fixed has happened several times. I didn't think they could do anything to an almost 10 year game engine to fix lag. 3 had lag and routing issues and they didn't do anything. I can see lag being more challenging than corrupt saves thst don't effect everyone and that seems to still be a struggle. I don't think any Sims games will make it past 8 years. Good strategy to drop the every 4 years but i think 8 should be the max. I have been thinking the gurus who work on a DLC are immediately told to work on the next one ehen they should be left to deal with bugs at least for a month. I could be wrong, but perhaps For Rent could have been fixed better abd possibly 100%. A lot of these bugs i didn't know existed. Which i think adds to the challenge; why are some getting this bug? Hopefully they'll stick to the many uodayes no mayter how many people complain.

am i the only one thats worried this will actually j break the game more, like leave the code alone pls that seems to be the best thing?? every single time they even look at the code they break the game. 😂

I’m so excited for this. I love this game so much and although, I don’t experience a lot of bugs, I hate seeing KZreadrs visibly annoyed playing. It makes me so sad 😭😭😭 I hope it works out! Thank you for the break down 🥹🩶
