  it’s completely random from the looks of it on timings but working on your romance skill, going on other dates and having romantic relationships seems to increase the chances

  I would love to see you do a Lovestruck and High School Years pack. I know the teens can't do Cupid's Corner, but I'd like to see how the attraction system affects them. It makes sense to me to have a lot of teens that build relationships slowly through friendships - doing activities together, sports and fishing and cooking etc., so I hope it works :)

  I don’t own lovestruck, but every gameplay I watch with the pack Sims seem to want to get married pretty fast, like worse than normal which was already too fast for me pre lovestruck. But maybe because all the promotion around lovestruck has people pushing the romance skill/bar more. But I want my sims to have time to actually date while living life too!! Is it very detrimental if one turns down a marriage proposal?

  How would I do this challenge? I got this challenge 3 different times, and all 3 times it said I didn't have perfect dates? I meet all the goals and went on dates with different sims each time and it still said I failed. What am I doing wrong? This is getting so highly frustrating :/

  Either bug or your moodled (time limit) for everyday date wore off before you complete date.

  I just realized those windows glitching in the distance at the beginning of the video.. I can't believe this new city looks like this.. 🙄. I think the content looks fun otherwise, I really do. But ths weird looking windows are throwing me off... why is EA doing this? I really want to love this new pack 😪

  Wow Mollie, I'm trying the black widow for the first time and I married Eleanor cause she won the lottery. Problem is I can't bring myself to kill her off. My plan was to marry elders and send them off with some lethal woohoo, but I like Eleanor😢

  @@iamsuzerain3987I canblive with my Sims dying in gameplay, it hurts but if its the natural result of an in game mechanic or aging, I let it happen. But I can’t like kill them off intentionally, never have been able to. Yet I don’t mind watching choatic gameplay. Maybe because my gameplay is generally wholesome.

  yeah updates will do that to mods. always take out and backup your files before updating. modders are working hard to get updates out so they can continue working

  I have found in my game that attraction affects compatability heavily, but I wish it didn't. I think it makes sense for compatability to affect attraction, but not for attraction to affect compatability, ya know? Because not every sim is a potential romantic interest (like, for example, family members...)

  I know one thing is for sure. With the base game's romantic date, if you get a gold at the end of the date, you get a romantic ice bucket that gives your Sim the +5 Flirty emotion and you can sell it for a whopping 675 simoleans. This lovestruck date, all you get is a couple's photo that only cost you 5 simoleans. Kinda wish they reward you with something like the ice bucket along with the photo. I mean, this is an expansion pack. My expectation will be more of course.

  I tried romancing Caleb because he turned up at the bar and managed a tiny bit of romance and friendship. Caleb asked my sim on a date and the more they learned about each other the worse it went. I spotted Umber snuggling his wife and went for it. Right under his wife’s nose and Caleb’s, my sim snatched Umber. Turns out he’s extremely compatible in friendship and romance with my sim. Much more so than Umber’s wife. Within a day, he was asking to move in and my sim convinced him to leave his wife. My first Umber snatch 😂

  no there is no woohoo skill. its random what buff they will get from woohoo, but i think it might have something to do with their mood when they woohoo.

  This is what i was worried about. Though my Sims that are opposites are already married, I was worried this system would have my Sims' relationship fall apart. This is an interesting part of romance. I don't know how well opposites attract is successful IRL, but in game, i think it's ok ro let the two opposites get together. It dhould be a bit harder but not 100% impossible. Lovestruck promos had me thinking pack comparability should be part of the promo, but I can't remember another pack I thought this needs to be done. I can see how prompting romance and attraction can be tough even with the 'tell a story' way the trailers do. I don't know how an attraction system can make us play differently.

  Ironically i feel like this pack has deterred simmers from excessive woohooing by making friendly interactions grow connections better & faster than romance interactions. I suppose it's to implement more "realistic" gameplay but i personally was not expecting a love pack to make romancing sims harder... Like at all. I very much expected to be able to woohoo more often & much more easily. Kinda feels like we've been catfished by the sims team 😬 i guess they really want to see us use the friendly activity interactions more? Perhaps they were sat in their lil sims board room thinking how the hell do we get people to play chess, stargaze & shoot hoops together more in the sims? & someone thought, ah yes a sexy time pack where no one actually wants to sexy time, that'll give simmers the opportunity to do friendly interactions w/ other sims! 😅🙄

  I feel the opposite actually. I want more time spread out for romance to bloom, for more of a challenge. They definitely should have put in way more woohoo spots and romantic actions though.

  @@gameoftomes14 i think it should be more of an option, like pick the love resistant trait or whatever it's called & yes, romance will be harder to raise, if you want the challenge then there's your challenge. But to play with a romantic + lovebug sim & have trouble romancing literally everyone & anyone is actually insane. Even after getting my sim to level 7 charisma, it was in fact, still not enough rizz to get a sim to woohoo using mostly romantic interactions 🤦🏻‍♀️not every relationship starts out as friends first so that kind of doesn't make sense to apply to all sims. I think the balance should be tweaked severely. Would have been cool if they made it where using cupids corner for a romantic date specifically makes it easier to woohoo with the sim, kinda like tinder is infamously used for hookups? That feels more realistic to me, like the other sim should already know the implications of accepting a romantic date off of a dating app 🤷🏻‍♀️

  @@gameoftomes14 it’s just plain lazy. So crazy the difference in CAS + Build/Buy versus gameplay… it’s like the sims team uses all their budget on aesthetics first, gameplay last.

  You need to increase the new Romance skill; Charisma affects Relationships but Romance affects Woohoo and how effective Flirting and such is (it actually overrides stuff a bit like specific preferences.) That's what makes things much easier in the videos I've seen so far. Edit: Also one of the other factors is that Sims without any of the new system preferences introduced in Lovestruck makes it harder so for example currently Gallery Sims may actually be worse than dropping Sims in yourself and giving them random preferences or choosing a Townie from the new pack. That will make it harder and is the only true oversight. I mean yes having someone as a polar opposite is worst case scenario but when there's nothing for the attraction system to even recognize the results won't be as good either.

  I found out playing that if your sim finds out another sim isn’t interested in romance with them they can’t perform ANY romance actions 😮

  @@EnglishSimmerI did, I think it was the ask romance attraction, the sim was only attracted to men so when I tried to do any romance action the romance option was greyed out. I’ve never seen that before, thought it was new, it said something like my sim discovered the other sims romance attraction, can’t remember exactly I’ll have to check my game but there was also a notification about just being friends

  @@Kylesimslover I think unfortunately the Spa Day refresh didn't equate to more sales in the way EA had hoped so we probably won't get another one ever again and Maxis will only revamp anything if it sells a new pack the way For Rent did and now I guess technically Growing Together and Lovestruck in some respects. (Also I guess in theory since they finally gave people regular Marriages on top of the Wedding Stories pack version, that would be the big changes that could've come in a refresh.)

  They had so much opportunity in front of them to make this pack great. It would have been easy to make it satisfying with adding very little new content and they STILL fell short. The bar was on the floor, now it’s in the basement

  Grumpy Grandpa here. I do have all of the packs and all the kits. Plus playing offline. So what else could be slowing the game down. Now remember I have nothing build in the worlds. So what else could it be.

  you don’t have any mods or custom content i’m assuming? sometimes it can just be the build of your pc. sims is a very cpu and ram heavy game but that’s quite expensive and last resort. if you take a lot of screenshots, i’d save your screenshots elsewhere (desktop, external hard drive) and remove them from your game files. emptying your recycle bin in general on your pc. clearing out old saves you don’t play with anymore (always be careful what you’re deleting here). and unfortunately sometimes the game just lags and has frame rate issues, usually after entering build mode, photo mode etc sometimes opening the options menu and closing it again fixes it, sometimes i just have to restart the game. hard to navigate the root of the issue as there’s so many possibilities
