Lowkey the cult in NITW was such a genuinely terrifying and risky villain, like I actually feared what the consequences would be if Mae and the gang were to fail or be unable to make such an impact as they did in the game. They were a great antagonist for the game, in my opinion 🗣️🔥🔥🔥

Something about you mentioning Bea being stuck in the town makes me wonder; did the Goat give her mom her illness? It kept a young person from leaving after all.

I truly enjoy your Night In The Woods series. Yours are one of the only ones truly well written and looked into. I’ve always wanted someone to take a deeper dive into this game especially the cult in video format. Can’t wait to see you make more!

The idea that Mae may have inadvertently given the goat what it wants with the cult members as final accidental sacrifices is both intriguing and scary. I do wonder how that would look, and I do imagine if something happened from that, Mae would be the centre of it. Also definitely curious to hear your game pitch! Unfortunately I'm only really a writer myself, but it's always nice to hear people's ideas.

Have you ever considered how Eide probably doesn't have the ability to walk through objects, I noticed that in the scene where Mae catches up with Eide at the end of the town by the fence during Harfest, there is a noticeable gap at the bottom of the fence, it's a little obscured by leaves, but that's my guess on how Eide made it past the fence. Though, in later days when you come up to the same spot, the gap is nowhere to be seen. I just thought it was an interesting detail, and great video btw!! Love all this.

I guess there are other times that have evidence supporting that Eide could still have those abilities, like the ending scene when Eide catches up with the group right after coming back up the elevator. There's also Gregg's ghost hunting hang out day as well. Either way, I think it's such a cool concept for Eide to have some special power, rather than some hidden logical explanation for everything.

He's got some sort of powers though, that's how he appeared in the elevator behind the group just before disarming himself.

Theres a dramatic irony to the Cult, that perfectly reflects the base it predicted. That overreliance on false hope has led them to literally do the opposite of what would help the town. In general too, forgo their normal religion for the worship of a false idol, and just willing to kill everyone who disagrees with them. The idea they'd be that quick to just start killing for what they want is disgusting. What did the flowers that grew after the supposed first sacrifice do for the town anyway? It didnt save any of the businesses theyd rather kill for False Hope Than to actually work to better the future which with enough souls onboard that ideal wouldn't just be more Humane, but it would be a less intensive and more efficient way to secure a future than murder and sacrifice. I said it during the premier stream. It's bold of the cult to assume all the victims wouldn't be missed, and with the frequency of sacrifices, They could be only a few outsiders away from a state police or possibly FBI raid. Deadly Premonition, and Shadow over Innsmouth come to mind when I think about it. Enough strange events happen and rumours spread Higher powers will learn and do something about it. The action in theory would put Possum Springs back on a map but not in the way they'd want it to be

I have always loved Night in the Woods but this series has really set that flame again. I'm a big fan of analysis essays videos and I watch A LOT of em, your series is definitely some of the best work I've seen. Most of the time I watch 1-5 hour videos and even though yours are much shorter they have just as much information and are SO SO SO entertaining. I've been replaying on autoplay your NITW essays in the background while I work or do jigsaw puzzles, and one thing I want to mention is that I don't think we can only think of those who were in early working age when Possum Springs started to truly decline. You can't also discount those of the previous generation who may have spent their whole lives working hard, only to have their employers leave them behind without any promise of a pension or retirement that the previous generation (the union generation) got, when they spent almost 20 years of loyalty and expectation that that was their reward. They'd HATE seeing the changes that resulted in that.

@owlbatross9187 I want to collect them all one day but my main army's right now are Deathwatch (I couldn't choose a chapter so why not all of them), tyranids (love the space bug especially the big stompy guys), and a much smaller army of Iorn warriors (probobly my favorite chaos marines up there with Death Guard and night lord's). What legion do you like the most for your chaos marines?
