I lost a car to thieves who torched it when they were done. I found the burnt out shell the next morning and the smell of a burnt out car is something I'll never forget. Things will get better though and you'll rebuild.

Same and it fucking blows. My trusty 12 hyundai accent "blue" (super creative name i know) we think it was for the hyundai/kia challenge as they were all 3 juveniles. I had him all his life just put in 3k for all his major fixes/maintenance and only about a month later he got burned up. I have since gotten a new car but i still miss him had a lot of life left (90k miles) and i LOVED how he drove.

I had a friend lose their house to a fire. I was there when it started (parents boyfriend was heating oil for frying and forgot about it, I was actually the first person to smell it) and helped them cleaning out the remains of the house over the next weeks. This was 25 years ago. I'll never forget that smell. To this day even a slight whiff of that smell makes me sick to my stomach. Never smelled a burnt out car, but I imagine that it is similar.

The smell of fire like that is something you never forget, a few years ago, my neighbor set my house on fire while I was asleep inside it, I woke up to flames, that is something that sticks with you

This got recommended to me so i didn't know anything about this channel beforehand. Seeing all the different rooms and the quality of everything choked me up a little

I can think of a family that can pump out the best s chassis comp cars in the world and between yourself and the boy's theirs plenty of machinery for the next steps. I kinda feel like Ireland is the best place to recover from a situation like this. Irishman fight back EVERY FUCKING TIME 🤙

My house burned down in 2010, so I know exactly what you are feeling. It's going to be a long road to recovery, but I wish you the smoothest and quickest journey possible.

I've never seen you guys before but came across this footage. I'm at a loss for words. This is an extreme heartbreak & punch right to the soul. You all seem like a great bunch of guys and friends too, and it seems like you'll all fight to come out on top stronger than ever! As i saw this your car came to my mind because i did saw what had happened to the garage that your car was at....

This is the first video I've seen from y'all so I don't know the full impact that the fire had, but it's still very sad to see. Given the abundance of life and happiness in the building before, it's clear as day to see that you all had a lot of effort and passion that burnt that night. I know that whenever you see anything you put a lot of work into, that you are very passionate about, and that you take pride in, go up in flames (literally or figuratively), it is very demoralizing for everyone involved, and not many people talk about that. So I just want to say this: Don't give up. Don't let this stop you from achieving great things. This may be a pretty big setback but the journey keeps going. I get the sense that y'all have built a great community between yourselves, so be sure to rely on each other if you start to feel stressed or overwhelmed. Even just seeing the other comments tells me that there are many people that are willing to stick it out with you guys and hope to see you bounce back from this, me included. I hope you can get back into the swing of things soon!

What's the cause of fire? Short Circuited? Flammable Objects in a vent? Power Box shortages? I know all of your pain of your hardest work and your dream projects. But you gotta start over again. Be careful and stay safe when you're doing your dream project works.

People definitely donate though if though if you can and want to, insurance pay pay them a fraction of the lost value but it can take months or years to see anything. I don't have much but I bought a shirt, there's a tip section in there to add more if you want.

the absolute shear act of God that took place for everything you guys have was put in that garage last minute...who's the one who was needing a complete mental/physical reset? Still sucks, my moms sewing/production shop went up in flames with 35 years worth of business. It's hard to start over but let this be a reset for you all! love you guys

A lot of people will pay a couple of quid for cloud storage from their phones or home computers for photos and stuff, but they forget about the business stuff from their workplace or office.

Well, as a grown man of 53 years of age, who has followed your journey for the past 2 years or more, I don’t mind admitting that I am watching this in tears. Is it because of the beautiful building being destroyed, no. Is it because the most incredible collection of cars in Ireland has been destroyed, no. Is it because all your merch, cameras, computers, tools, lighting equipment and everything in that building is destroyed?, no. It is simply because I see the destruction in you guys eyes and in your voices. I am totally devastated for you but this is maybe a lesson for us all that all these things are superficial, they can and will be rebuilt bigger and better. What can’t be rebuilt is someone’s life, God forbid, if someone had have lost their life and, if that’s not the positive in this situation and the catalyst to rebuild I don’t know what is. This is incredibly sad. My heart goes out to everyone who lost things in the fire. I can see it in everyone's faces the pain of the loss of so much work lost in the fire. I'm so sorry this happened, you guys will recover from this. I would definitely also invest in some off site storage to back up all your footage from now on too!

I'm not super into cars, even for a guy who went to auto-tech for 4 years in tech school for half the day during Highschool. When I heard "Supra" I couldn't hold back my tears tbh. Plus the 10 years of footage man damn. Just glad you guys are okay and are here to make new memories at least.

So sorry for your massive loss. Being a car family I sit and look at our shed and think how shattering it would be if this happened, I feel for you guys 😢

when one of the guys said it didn't rain the one day they needed it to, that actually hit me. a house in my neighborhood burnt down after getting struck by lightning probably a month ago. it was raining but the rain didn't stop it. they lost everything. we were originally going to move into that house 7 years ago too. we know them personally and they are such great people. i'm so glad everyone is okay. i'm so sorry for the hundreds of thousands of dollars that was lost in those beautiful cars.

Regarding the footage, See if you can find any hard drive you had, and send them to a forensic data recovery place, it is amazing what they can pull off, even if the drives have been in a fire. It might not get it all, or even anything, but it's seriously worth a shot if you don't have offsite backup in any way. Good luck on your journey to rebuild, so sad this happened to you guys and wish you all the luck going forward.

My son and I cried together watching this. He’s only 15 and JDM is his life. He was so happy to see the HQ back in December. He spent ages taking pics, buying merchandise and meeting the lads. Every single one of them were so nice to him. Ours hearts are utterly broken for you all. Please know that DG has brought so much joy to our lives and the lives of countless others. Same here mate me and my son were the same he is 11yr he was even going to sell his hot wheels cars and donate the money he would get for them he has autism and is car mad loves dave josh adam the hole team so I got us tshirts and left a tip as well
