    I hope you are not comparing maintenance cost of a S4 with a toyota or honda. Comparing with M3 and AMG, the S4 maintenance cost is lower. I have owned the B8.5 S4 for several years and it's been problem free, and less maintenance cost than my previous M3

    I work at a repair shop specializing in German cars. Your Audi is meant to run on full synthetic oil for 10k miles. We are located in AZ & nothing breaks down oil like the heat here, so we recommend doing an oil service every 7k miles. Every 2,500 - 3,000 is overkill.

  • @DarthVader-lt4zw
    @DarthVader-lt4zw Жыл бұрын

    The thing about parts, cost and availability, all comes down to the age of the parts. Example: the G series from Pontiac used like 95% of the parts from the Grand Am/ Grand Prix, so they already had 20 to 30 years of parts built up, as well as those cars were far more mass produces than the Audi. As the Audis get older, say 5 to 10 or so more tears, parts will come more readily available and become cheaper. Also, parts are shipped from Europe, so.. there's that lol

    I drive a 2013 s5, here's my list. 1: Parts cost. It's utterly criminal. Any other vehicle, same materials for any given part, 10x the price. Best example is $500 test pipes. 2: slow roll to stop 1st gear jerk before tune. It's normal, not mechatronic unit, not motor mounts, not trans issues, it's just the oem tcu tune. I spent upwards of 2k chasing this issue prior to solving it with the trans tune. 3: Every bolt is torque to yield/ stretch. 4: making the 3.0 sound good, not raspy while catless.. is a nightmare. Best solution I think is test pipes or gutted cats w reinforced welds, ($0/$500), 2x vibrant flex pipes ($100) to 2x high flow cats w o2 bungs ($300) using 2x o2 extension harnesses ($100) followed by a magnaflow resonated x pipe ($150), to an ecs x-pipe mid res delete ($400), to 2x vibrant ultra quiet resonators as mufflers ($220), to ebay tips ($100). You do the math. 5: weight/ oversteer is apparent, and short of gutting the niceties like the oem seats, door skins, having a carbon/ fiberglass moonroof custom made, etc, ya just need to deal w it.

    Stock B9 against which spec Mustang? 18+ 5.0 10A traps at least 10mph faster in the 1/4 than a B9 S4. You mean a Stang with the 2.3 turbo? Unless you’re at high elevation if you’re trying to claim your stock S4 is running away from a 5.0 10A, sorry but no. I’d still have the S4 over the Mustang and I’m not saying the S4 isn’t a great car or a quick car, but let’s keep it real. It’s not quicker, stock vs stock unless you’re at elevation or your racing an older GT.
