Hi - thanks for asking! It was an improvisation with an embellished theme from memory no sheet music anywhere I'm afraid! The theme should be in a real book/fake book somewhere.

@@tbonijazz awww... Thanks for reply. I'm trying to get back into playing the sax after 20 years of not having access to one, and this is one of my app time favorite songs. I really wanted to learn how to play it, and your version is the absolute most incredible and beautiful version I have ever heard ever!!! It's so inspiring, but I'm not good enough yet to try and figure out notes by ear. Well, thank you so much for posting your version. It really is gorgeous

@@TheTribalButterfly Thank you - really kind of you to say. A transcription would be possible at some point I guess, but it's a lot of work and I'm not sure what the demand would be. If you like that kind of style, you could try looking for transcriptions of Sonny Stitt or Sonny Criss in particular. I tend to point students in those directions as well as the usual Parker stuff. Do you have access to a basic version of the melody? Tim

@@tbonijazz I have access to the Chet Baker version on Spotify - but that's basically it! Haha! If you ever do decide to transcribe it to sheet music, I would absolutely adore a copy. You're so incredibly talented - I hope I can develop half of your skills!!! Just amazing!!! May I make a suggestion? Born to be Blue is also a wonderful song - have you heard of it? If you're ever looking for another song to do, that one is worth considering. It's got a lot of soul to it - I bet your version would be absolutely sensational!
