Everything GREAT About: Dr Stone | Second Half
Ойын-сауық
Welcome to Everything Great About Dr Stone's second half! In this video I round up every single great moment I could find throughout episodes 13-24.
Dr Stone is the story of a world thrown 3700 years into the future by a mystery wave of light that turned everyone on Earth to stone. Senku, a young high school genius and his friends make a pledge to ramp up science and regain everything that was lost.

24:38 Someone had a great point about Senku berating Taiju about how: "(Smart) phones being impossible to make in the Stone World" twice, right in front of Tsukasa, which adds an extra element of surprise to their strategy because Tsukasa wouldn't expect it.
@digitalcthulhu143

And yet Tsukasa correctly predicted Senku would make vehicles within a year and planned accordingly lol
@Hellbane224
Жыл бұрын
@@digitalcthulhu143 Vehicles are not hard to make, actually. Once you have the wheel, it's not hard to jump to the next logical step. Carts. Then, instead of people dragging the carts, you take on beasts of burden. Eventually you come to the point of wanting something more reliable (and eventually faster,) as well as something that doesn't need to eat or sleep or answer the call of nature. Steam powered things, coal powered things... all of them come from one thing... the invention of the wheel. Well, there's no way Senku would forget something as simple as the wheel. So, yeah, it was an easy and logical conclusion for Tsukasa to make.
Something that I loved about the cave episode with Magma is when Senku mentions that meatheads are also integral for building a technological society. This anime obviously glorifies science first and foremost but I think it's so great and inclusive to also point out the importance of people with physical strength, craftsmen, etc.

I love the Fallout series, despite the tragedy that is Order 76, but if I could fert a game set in Doctor Stone's world I'd be able to die in peace.
I think a cool part of this is Senkus worldview. Any boy genius Is easy to imagine being snotty and disliking those unlike him. But Senku shows absolute respect to the other occupations that make the world work. From musclebound labor. Skilled craftsmen to cooks and scientists. From his point of view they are all equally essential to science
18:19 When I first saw this my only thought was "Senku, I would be very upset with you if you didn't cry after hearing all of that." It is a beautiful but sad episode. Well done writers.
I belive all of You will agree with me when I say Dr Stone is one of the best and most original anime ever created. Please, never take shows like this for granted. Shout out your love for them. It's all we can do to show how much we are thankfull for them. All that work and passion, yeah it brings money something but money ain't worth shit even tho it's important. We need people who creates show like these to know how much we love them for bringing quality entertainment like this into our lives. Otherwise, sooner or later we will be left with generic mediocre shows that just makes money. So please don't be an anime cool rival who won't show emotions coz it's not cool enough. Who won't show how excited he is coz it's not cool enough. Shout with me: WE LOVE YOU AND WE ARE FOREVER GRATEFUL!!!

I've said it on other channels and I'll repeat it here, I normally don't read Manga (or comics in general), but this was the first anime ever to inspire me to read the Manga including the side story. I seriously can't wait till they tie the field of study Senku's father was in to Senku's current objective. And yes I'm being vague to avoid spoilers. I don't mind giving spoilers as obscure jokes but there is no way I can link these two without making it a major spoiler.

@@scottkrametbauer90 Yeah, the manga's great, but I will say that the ending is a flop, between the pacing falling apart after the SA arc, and the science starting to break down (not entirely unexpected for the petrification, as that was always going to be sci-fi, but also some of the other stuff related to gravity and relativity, which while understandable due to being a topic that's way too complex and often misunderstood, still hurts to read if you know the actual physics problems with it). But everything before that is definitely worth the read.

Awwww. You didn’t win my favorite scene. I love (and still cry every time I see it) the part where they all ‘see’ everything they missed out on. All that mankind had made. Games, books, movies, all gone and never to be heard from again. And for this small group of survivors to get the taste of true art really breaks my heart. They have never done something just ‘because’. Everything has really just been about surviving. All in all, I absolutely think that episode 24 is a masterpiece and the scene with all the different media’s being shown is the golden star that shines brightest upon it. (Thank you for reading my rant)
Gen honestly throws me for a loop every time he shows up it's amazing and I really like characters like that. They keep me on my toes
Even during this while seeing survivors and Senkus father, i still cried because anime it's self makes me feel something, i don't care if they're not real, as long as they have something to fight for it fills me with emotions. One of the reasons why i want to get Isekaied as an anime character.

I've learned more from this anime than i did in school
Dr Stone was a truly special anime, The entire show is an unapologetic love letter to humanity and all of it's scientific advancements. I feel like so many people forget just how advanced something like a phone, air conditioner or refrigerator is. To many people just think "Oh I plug it in and it works haha" Yet just so those "simple" electronics to work is the combination of hundreds of peoples hard work and determination. I don't want to get dark but our relatively safe and peaceful lives are built on a pile of corpses, advancements and failures. Let's just take a moment and give thanks to Humanity's determination and sacrifices.
When you read Senku's father's death while noticing his 'other child' was still alive
13:58 The Bird Petrification was already mentioned in the first two episodes. Senku even commented about how some sort of weapon (Senkus Theory!) was first tested at the birds and THEN used on humans. We now got to see how Senku reacted to the birds turning to stone while Taiju and Yuzuhira brought the stone birds to the vet.
I’m so glad you get excited about the same things as I do about the show. I thought I was the only one who liked the intricate details being a chemist and all! Love your work, Anime wins!

I've already watched this but I agree with every point you made. I take screenshots of all the scenes that I like and almost all of it are the scenes that you add a win to. Also, I'm screaming at every scene that is played. It's like a mini recap episode before Season 2 arrives which is still far but this is a great recap video to watch nonetheless.
Hello mate, keep up the good work..... _ANOTHER UNIQUE SCIENCEOHDA!_

Thank Goodness! I was waiting for thiss!!!
I watched this when the anime first came out and now your making me want to watch it again kudos
I'm surprised you did give a point for the lens effect. Where it shows the image upside down and backward.
Also, i really want youtube to give youtube an option to give rewards to videos like in reddit. This deserves more that one reward, that ending got me really hard.
I like how in this anime the pauses between Tsukasa's attacks actually make sense, like "tgey showed us that they have gyns, so we'll wait for a rain so tgat tgey cant use them" and, "we can't attack in winter 'cause we won't have food". I know it sounds so pointless but it's really cool for me
No wonder Senku keeps saying "This is exhilirating", he gets to start a new society from what he learned of the last. To someone who loves science like him it must feel like starting a fresh save file in a survival game.

"Everything GREAT about Dr. Stone" all of it. All of it is great.
I had an understanding for most of the things shown in the anime, but Dr Stone lays it out in a more managable way for to understand and even out into practice, its that clear
Ginro crying for Kinro felt like Narancia crying for Abbachio
About poisonous gases... I don't know very much about Japan/Fuji morphology, but being mount Fuji a volcano it's very possible that there are depressed areas where volcanic gases gather (hydrogen sulphide, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, etc). Gases can accumulate around/above volcanic lakes, which are made of acid to very acid components (including sulfuric acid), and it can be really dangerous to people or animals living nearby (take a look here, even though it didn't happen in Japan: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Nyos_disaster ) since if a toxic gas cloud "escapes" or "is erupted" by the lake it can travel fast and far, and being heavier than "normal" air it stays down. And here's my unrequested trivia about it :D sorry for my english btw lol amazing video love ya bye
